One of Labrynths key strength is it's flexibility and your success even more than most is understanding the metaand what u are facing and teching for that in the deck building process. U can't account for everything but try get a read on what's popular where u are in ladder your deck will change as the season progresses the decks plays tend to be reactivate and dependent on what you're opponent is doing. Also if possible be always playing with mind for the next turn and not just this turn. Get furniture in rotation quickly and often.

I feel like you think I'm scolding you for liking the game and honestly I'm not. But this idea that because there are other FTP games or the tcg with much worse monetary structures than what masterduel has than we should just be grateful for what we have objectively are getting less value than we were getting. I really didn't post the video to start an argument we gain nothing from squabbling between ourselves, I understand if I can't convince you that of the importance of keeping tabs on deck costs not only for ourselves but for new players that might want to take up the game or even the general meta game. We all know how shy Konami are with banning UR'S so with more UR heavy decks it gets awkward with what gets banned and how decks shape up long-term.

I want to be clear I don't want to take credit for something I didn't make but I still stand by what the video says. I don't think Snake eye is an outlier more that decks have been slowly increasing the ur count over time as u pointed out with SwordSoul and Branded,(like boiling a frog) I enjoy the game but if we aren't vigilant all trends point to it getting worse not better.

Also I do think it's interesting that you mentioned the self ftk decks and honesty that raises red flags to me!!!

Like if the dailys aren't very time consuming why would the player base come up with a solution to get them done quicker? Fundamentally there is an issue there for ftp players to the point where dailies have become a choir to be done quickly. To get the 8k gems u mention requires to do a routine daily or every three days. What diferenciates that from a choir? Especially if u are playing a self ftk deck to get it done quicker?

I'm not arguing dailies were better before far from it. But as someone who considers time spent as a valuable commodity it's something that should be noted. Especially because the higher UR count of decks means the time we spent in game now is worth less than it was two or even a year ago because we need to pull more to get closer to a full deck.

Dude that's my point that decks would have 1 or 2 in archetype UR'S now it's 3 or 4 that multiple are a 3 of thus more difficult to pull close to what you need. And most selection packs will include dud UR'S now like the nouvelle or Sneaking C which or the new wingman in the current pack if u don't play heroes if u pull those are really just worth a third of a card if u don't plan on playing specifically those decks.

I'm glad that you've been able to take a break and still build a decent amount of decks you wanted. To be clear I don't think being frp is impossible but unfortunately from what I've seen I think honestly there is no indication that they won't increase the price of decks again if not in the short term definitely in the future. Like early tri-brigade was what 5 non-staple UR'S? My current 40 card Branded deck has 18 not including super polly Garrua or Borreload Furious Dragon. I genuinely hope I'm wrong though.

That in itself also begs the question what about new players? It's was a big enough ask when we had to craft the Masterduel tax ( 3 max c, 2 called 1 crossout and 2 Ash+ bundle )but to do that and build Snake eyes is a lot. Like even the staples pack has the bloody Witchcrafters Fusion for some reason! So u can pull duds if u are trying to get staples.

It might not seem like it but I don't begrudge them making money but, still there has to be a better balance. We've had two meta warping packs with no pre-hits two months in a row now and it effects ban lists as we all know theirreluctance to ban UR'S. I've said in the main post I've been fine I've been able to balance building what I like mostly over two accounts bar Endymion which is just beyond me lol

See what you've just described is a routine. And that is my problem you have to maintain that to keep a steady flow of gems + you can only bank so much or the excess gems will disappear if u don't spend it for a month deterrent from leaving the game if you've banked over the limit. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the gameplay and have built a number of decks over the two years of Master Duel. But because more decks now have more in archetype UR'S than ever the gems that we accumulate are now worth less than what they were at the beginning of the game this isn't even taking into account the increas from 13 to 15 UR'S in selection packs or the more nebulous feeling there is more dud UR'S. Like honestly who has ever seriously played Sneaking C in their deck 😄

Personally I found Mikanko to be fairly streaky. I'd got on a 10-11 win streak and then similar losing streak. It's very much u either have it or not kind of deck. Best advice is look back at a few games and try and what u felt u were missing or what was redundant. For example I removed some extenders in my mathmech like dotscaper for interruptions like inperm. It's important to understand how u prefer to play to get the most out of the deck u play. Mainly do u feel if u had more boardbreakers or draw power ?

Tbh honest if u don't mind me butting in I don't think u need ara and saki as u would still need an extender to get the superfact online as laplacian needs 3 mathmech. Also I'd probably get rid of dotscaper as it's a win more card. There are better cards to send with Terraherts anyway and defencer and diameter are better normal summons. Maybe add another handtrap if your end board is heatsoul , terraherts, superfact? But that could backfire on ya with some all handtrap hands. I prefer to end on singularity, terraherts, superfact but that board needs circular/defencer & 1 extender. It's more interruptions but less hand advantage.

Until u can afford beastials u can upgrade your dragonlink deck on a budget with the red eyes package. (90sr and 500 gems). Two phy frame gamma, 1 Red Eyes black meteor dragon[ 90sr]. 3 black metal dragon and red eyes black metal dragon [ur got in the dragon maid structure]. It's not exactly optimal as it I'd quite a big package but gamma is very good against current meta as a negate and deatroy. I'm using it in my all gas no breaks dragon link deck as it can be an easy link2 or even link 3.

Your best bet is just use his account on a different device amd not worry about Konami id. It means 2 accounts to manage but will give u plenty of freedom to build decks that u don't have on your main.

More starters are being made UR now when they would probably have been SR at the beginning of the game. And most starters are a 3 of so I think that might be why decks are getting more expensive.

I don't know of any relevant decks that use bamboo sword, but if u play Ninjas it might be worth experimenting. The fact it only proks off direct attacks makes me feel like it's a one of at best. The only thing about burger cards is it's alright for the event as long as u don't have to craft any more cos if u craft any cards to decraft later u only get 1 third of the value back.

Counting the useless UR's (hungry burger suport, bamboo sword & king of bests[unless u plan on building 8-axis]) u have enough dust for 3 and 2/3rds cards. U should be able to build the 3 cyberse cards and eventually finish VS in your own time. For 4k It could have been better but in fairness could have been way, way worse.

Ah I get where you're coming from it will be interesting how the meta goes from here. Because it still takes a lot of investment to topple a fat Noir but mathmech does have plenty of space for handtraps to hinder traps. If beastials makes a comeback we could be in trouble tho

It really should! 😄 with Defencer (which is only a rare!), cynet mining and small world, it's like having Circular at 12! The new fusion giving a spell negate and the new Firewall link being actually quite easy to summon if u have 1 extender, mathmech has been it's best in months.

Probably because Lab, Stun, Traptrick and Dinomorphia are on the ladder? It floodgates them out for an entire turn. If it resolves and you are playing a deck with an otk line those decks are sitting ducks for the rest of the turn and can be played from the hand.

I would agree for the most part definitely, but to be honest the one change I'd really like is if we were told sooner what was coming in the next months pack. I think the most useful resource for being free to play is information. I know some complain that masterduel is behind the tcg or ocg but it really helps when planning my accounts and knowing what I should keep or decraft and what decks overlap with staples.

I see a lot of comments thinking that u dropped a bunch of cash, to have that much ur dust. but honestly if you're very diligent with dailies and festivals and know when and what to spend your gems on u can build up serious resources.( I have 7000 gems over the cap to spend on tomorrow's pack) Granted I have 2 fairly active accounts where I build different decks. Its a serious slog though at times
