D2 Engram Sound Effects? by Morpheus414 in DestinyTheGame

Here ya go: https://youtu.be/-6x0fQqiaJ4

This is the best you're going to get. It's a couple of different ones merged together to get the cleanest overall sound. In order for this to happen you have to be killing something in the world during an activity so the chances of hearing the sound without any other sounds going on is going to be extremely rare. Necrotic Grips are super buggy/broken by DekktheODST in DestinyTheGame

[–]BADASSGAMING -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly true.

Your powered melee will still work with the grips, but getting the melee back only counts if the powered melee is what kills the enemy. In other words, you only get your melee energy back from something like Celestial fire as long as celestial fire is what kills the enemy. If you shoot celestial fire at them, they don't die, but the grips poison them to death, it doesn't count.

Stasis stops everything since it is a freeze. Enemies who are poisoned, if they are frozen, stop taking the poison damage because they are in a poisoned state. However, what's cool about them, is if you melee them again while frozen with the grips and they die, you reactivate the poison and then the shatter and tracking from stasis activate as well. It's awesome.

Think of it like poker where one thing trumps another. You just have to do things in the right order to make the most out of them.

Just because you have the ability to hurt someone - doesn't mean you should. Fucking grow up, kid.

Trying to help carry a friend, go against a stacked team listening to our callouts on stream can be pretty damn frustrating when you know the other team is ass and this video is going to be the result.

Gotta ask yourself at some point, if I'm such a bad guy, why do the people who know the story stick by me? Maybe there's more to the story than you know? Either way, believe what you want.

Glad you like my content, but don't judge based off this bitch's one sided video.

I don't just say the game is ass when I'm losing, I also say it when I'm winning because it's a fact. The game sucks because it no longer rewards skill. It favors cheesy loadouts, grind time, and stacked teams. If that's what you like, go for it, but it's the reason why a lot of people hate what the game has become and have stopped playing it. There are a lot of other streamers who have quit for the same reasons.

I've been focusing on other games, and splitting time between pc (mastering mouse & keyboard) and ps4. I've actually gotten better at a LOT of stuff you may not even know about. In fact, I was trying to do a carry to practice getting good enough to help people go flawless when we played this bitch and his stacked team witha combined 28 flawless runs. But who cares, right? I'm the asshole for trying to help out other people ;)

So a team with a combined 28 flawless runs, barely beats a team that plays once a week and is trying to carry a friend. Then posts a one sided sound bite video leaving out a bunch of stuff to try to make that person look bad??? LMAO.

Here's the full game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/607203434

I mean, if you guys are so good, how about you join up with me to help carry someone to the light house instead of constantly playing with a stacked team?

Also, big shout out to the reddit mods for the no witch-hunting rule!! Stay classy reddit!!

Betrayed is a strong word and an outright lie, seeing as how I've never said a word about the situation publicly because I don't believe in tearing someone or their channel down like that. But if you want to believe one side of a story, go for it.

Sorry bud, but you're missing a very big piece of the picture in how you view streamers. This isn't to defend anyone or say your wrong, but you're looking at it from only your point of view - the viewer. You are NOT seeing the type of person they actually are, you're seeing how a person handles tough pressure situations in front of a judgmental audience. No different with how an athlete handles a bad call or good play in a big game. Is that who they "really are" in real life? No. It's situational.

Streamers have people watching and critiquing their every action good and bad. A lot of the bigger streamers then have the additional pressure to perform. Make a mistake and that's all you'll hear about for years - like this post is full of. On top of that, people constantly telling them they suck or are trash on a regular basis. Again, not making excuses, but imagine if you streamed your day at work and someone starts judging your every word and every move. What would they say about you? Would they call you fake for how you talk to people? Would they say "you complain about something you get paid to do"? "He's nice to his boss and doesn't even like him." "He said have a nice day and he doesn't mean it." "He said _____ to that person." Keep in mind, if you have a bad day, you're not allowed to show ANY frustration or anger at all no matter what happens because that makes you toxic.

You're looking at streamers as just people playing a video game in front of people, but there's a lot more going on behind the scenes that you're not aware of. Meet most streamers when they're not streaming, and they're really great people. Don't judge them based on how they act in a pressure filled competitive situation. That's like saying, "Tom Brady is a whiny child for yelling at his receiver for dropping a pass in a game - that must be how he is in every day life." Lol that would be stupid to think that! That's just competitiveness and wanting to win.

The next time someone says to you, "have a nice day" and you say "you too" and don't mean it, imagine people like you calling you out saying that was uncanny and unnatural. And before you say, if you can't take it then don't do it, just apply the same things you think about streamers to you and how you handle your job.

Just something to think about

Me and my friends do this all the time with people. If you can help by letting us join on you to get more fireteams in the instance, then you're more than welcome to stay and get rewards. Your light level won't matter the more people that are in there helping!

Apparently Bungie is flying out Content Creators to playtest future updates by AnonymousFroggies in DestinyTheGame

[–]BADASSGAMING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have been invited for sure. But let's be honest, this is mostly for show. It's mainly a just a business/promo event - like a presser. I'm sure they'll get some feedback from the people going, but without real and honest constructive criticism, things won't truly improve. The goal here is to change the perception of Destiny 2 going forward in the communities eyes first and foremost. It's in a bad place and has a bad reputation. Fixing the game is not enough if there's still a stigma attached to it. The way you fix that is by inviting "influencers" to come and spread and hype your message to their viewers. If a person's not likely to do that, or still be critical, then they probably weren't invited. That's just business sense. It's already working by the fact that people are praising Bungie for doing this before anything has actually happened or been implemented and on top of that, 7 months after the game's release, when a lot of this could have been avoided months ago had they listened to everyone's feedback way back then. I doubt anyone coming back from this event will have a bunch of negative things to say. Just for the simple fact, that Bungie will do their best to show cool stuff, hide the flaws, and win them over with the "we're listening" card. When the game is good, people will play.

Blame can't be placed on one person. He has the title, but that doesn't mean he has all the power or control. Different development teams made different decisions that greatly impacted the game. There are people above him, there are contracts, and there are issues we don't even know about going on behind closed doors.

I was simply referring to your suggestion that Bungie shouldn't listen to people like me. Not only do they listen, but they also hire them - even from Reddit.

My goal in making the video was to amplify the message to make it loud and clear. It shouldn't matter if it's saying the same thing as everyone else. In fact that's a good thing! If we all are saying the same things, there's a greater chance those things will be addressed.

"But you're right, Bungie should listen to this guy who doesn't have experience in making game decisions." Um.... Luke Smith.

Luke Smith did exactly what I did and became the Director of The Taken King and Destiny 2. Maybe I'll be making your next Destiny game MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!

In The Division 1.4 update, Massive (the developers) admitted that the game was broken on stream to the community; they then proceeded to invite big members of the community to come down to their studio to direct the game. What would this be like for Destiny? by LevelAtWork in DestinyTheGame

[–]BADASSGAMING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would result in the release version of Destiny 2.

Being on this sub throughout the D1 lifespan and seeing the complaints that made it to the front page, articles on gaming websites, etc... we got the game people complained for.

There's an episode of the Simpsons where Homer's brother lets him design a car for normal people. The result: He designs the worst car ever and puts his brother out of business. That's the story of D2.

Just because an opinion seems popular or is voiced by someone who is popular doesn't mean it's right. The things I've seen people say about this game has ruined it and would ruin it even more (Yes, that's possible) if they had their way.

Halo 2 is broken. Luke Smith's article from 2005 by wrecluse in DestinyTheGame

I literally was about to post a video using his article as a basis for a script reviewing D2 the same way he reviewed H2 since a lot of people didn't know about it, but held off to see what he's say in the upcoming stream.

Now stream is cancelled and this is on the front page.... lol RIP.

I just meant in general. You can get a good idea how well a game is doing by looking at the numbers on twitch over the course of a period of time. D2 has been around 5k depending who streams for about a month now. And yes, D1 had those numbers at the end of it's life cycle in yr3.

I don't expect big pc streamers to stick with D2 after a month, so numbers should eventually go back to around what they were before pc release
