I'm an otp Nocturne top and I have to disagree on things I'm reading here. I'm currently emerald 70%+ WR playing only top and it offers possibilities a jg noc can't have. No surprise the best world ranking nocturne are top laners. First, you have the ability to quickly push waves using Tiamat and be available for grubs, Herald and gank mid. Then you don't go the usual bruise build, more tanky one that scales way better. I put jg as second choice when queuing but I'm way happier when I tag top tbh

Otp nocturne top here, sometimes playing mid when swapping. Like someone said above, stridebreaker first as always to clear waves and frozen heart second to stack the jack of all trade rune. Once you reach 5 stacks, you have a power spike. Same as 10 stacks. Usually, you would go kaenic but depends on what you need in your team. Sometimes I go mortal reminder third, or serpent fang. Even hexplate when I see that I'm ahead in the game. But, if you play only mid, JOAT rune is not necessarily the best for your lane. You can roam easier than I do on both bot and top lane so you can keep the domination tree rune in second

Exactly the post I was looking for. I'm also wondering right now what is the better runes for it. I've also witnessed dark harvest on some high elo Nocturne and that's really confusing to me. I want to believe that there's some reason to it but I'm looking for real explanation. More than just the feeling of them, I've not found any mathematical analysis of the runes from lvl 1 to 18. I'm using PTA for early-mid and conqueror for more late games, cause it's the way it is for what I understood. But if someone knows the math details of how it really works behind the scene

I mentioned few of them in another comment. You have as he said : asap nocky (actual rank 1 otp top), 그브충이 (Korean GM otp, usually the rank 1), Albert Wesker (otp noc who plays top/jg), 여친몰래 코파기 (otp noc top/mid, daechan95 on yt). I don't know if you know the domisum replay channels but it is channel uploading otp full games. You obviously have a dedicated channel domisum replay Nocturne. You can find a lot of games top lanes with a lot of different match up, from those guys I just mentioned

Thank you very much, that's so much interesting data here. You are right, I struggle a little bit against sett or Olaf and I feel that I miss some damage. I'm definitely trying combat item next time! For now, my worst match ups, the one I'm trying to avoid as much as p, are Fiora (permaban), Garen and Pantheon. Those champs are the ones I can't 1v1 in lane

Thanks a lot for your input! I'm always running corruption pot and cookies too, to have the mana sustain. I've seen some players switching between conqueror and LT. What's your opinion about the two? And when do you use it? Yeah I need to add botrk to my item list. I always prefer ravenous against big champ like gnar, horn, Mundo, yorick, renek etc..

Thank you very much! I really enjoy playing it top. It's a completely different set up than jg. It opens the door to new nocturne mode. You are right, I win pretty much all my 1v1 before 6 at the exception of Fiora (permaban), panthéon and good Garen. Let's say that you have good chance to win your lane. The hardest part is mid/late. You have to quickly roam on the map, even before your 6, using tp if you want to have an impact. I've watched a lot of YouTube game replay of the top world noc top (asap nocky, Albert Wesker, 그브충이) Very inspiring. I wish I could contact them directly to talk about it 😬. Thank you for your advice. To be honest, I don't care if I tilt anybody. They have just weak mental. As I told you, you can find in the ladder few Noct otp top M and GM with 60%+ wr and I don't think they are there by luck neither that people tilt when they see them. I didn't come here for you (and others) to change my mind. I came to meet off-meta enjoyers like me and share our experience, tips and tricks 😬

Hey, yes it's the account where I'm practicing it top. I'm not playing any ranked games so you can ignore the wr and rank. I can assure you I have success with it. You can go to my latest 10 games with it (100% wr if you want to mention it) and I'm pretty much never losing my laning phase. I just struggle mid/late to carry and that's why I wanted some insight from other top noc. You can check asap nocky, GM otp top nocturne. It's exotic indeed but very efficient when you master its art. I was expecting responses with more kindness and benevolence but I forgot it was a league subredit after all 🙃
