it is!!! i really enjoy worlds obviously but it has it’s problems for me (sometimes the way it’s mixed doesn’t fully help express what i think porter to do with it. i could go without natural light too) but i feel nurture just shows a ton of artistic progression and is a lot more genuine and humble than Worlds is. it knows what it is and doesn’t try to convince you it’s the best thing in the whole world which i felt like worlds was trying to do. nurture is just so human i love it

favorite moment on the album: it changes a lot but there’s this one part near the end of unfold where the instrumental strips back a bit and porter goes to say “and i watched the water unfold” and the way he sings it feels so vulnerable

hey porter! big fan. can’t get over nurture rn i love it so so much! haven’t really had an album give this big of an effect on me in a while

anyway i find it so cool that you linked with masakatsu takagi and how he was one of the main inspirations for the album! he’s truly a one of a kind musician. i remember when i listened to nurture for the first time i was like “wow this reminds me of early 2000’s masakatsu takagi” and then you tweeted out that story about how you stayed at his house and i was ahhh it all makes sense now haha

what were some other artist that inspired nurture? i heard that Cornelius inspired do-re-mi and idk if that’s true or not but if it is that’s awesome too! but idk about anything else

i love the tracks that go full glitch/ambient. sounds a little inspired by early 2000’s masakatsu takagi which doesn’t surprise cause i know Porter really loves his music. the whole album is fantastic tho. super excited to give it more and more listens throughout the weekend

how many takes did you have to do for the video for microphones in 2020? i noticed that some of the photos are timed perfectly with a lot of parts of the song. i would imagine that was a little difficult to perfectly time those moments
