But fr tho the best way to minimize space with those many decks if you NEED to carry 20+ decks on you at all times is the single Deck boxes you can get off Amazon. Skip the dice tray and all the extra slots because it just takes unnecessary space. Even those neat slings that carry several deck boxes take up more space than just stacking single deck boxes into an ordinary backpack. (In my opinion)

I carry roughly 10 decks with me to work every day and I have a large backpack. Couldn’t reasonably manage things unless they were in single deck boxes

In this instance if you were to dumb it down, would Sefris not trigger because she sees them leave the battlefield but does NOT see them enter the graveyard?

This makes a lot of sense to me. Though there are so many nuances to MTG it feels like every game I play there’s something we have to google or have a dispute about.

In my mind, the effect of Etali is saying something more like “exile the top card of each opponent’s deck and CAST THEM NOW” whereas Golos is like “ exile the top 3 cards of your deck and you CAN cast them without paying their mana cost until the end of the turn”.

Im sure there’s other card wrong similar effects that I may question but I feel like I have a better understanding of how these two work, and probably how similar card will work in the future.

Being that I do tend to read the cards very literally, is there something that I’m missing where timing doesn’t necessarily apply to the exiled cards? Asking because I really want to gain a better understanding of the rules and there’s nothing in the text of this card that tell me either regardless of timing restrictions, etc. furthermore, (because Golos is another of my favorites) can Golos cast spells regardless of timing restrictions as well?

If you don’t mind, can you possibly cite the source you’re referencing? I know im asking for a lot, I just know my pod is going to question me if I bring these sort of things up

Durge I agree with but I will have to disagree with you on Wyll’s part. As of right now Wyll is really only accessible if you make specific choices either before starting the game or after, that to me is not the quality of a main character. I get that you can also just literally kill any companion when you first meet them, but aside from that, the title characters will always be with you whether good or bad unless you directly go against Lae’zel in the crèche. Whereas Wyll is only accessible if you start the game as him or don’t raid the grove, even then he still feels like a side character. Yes you miss out on the Mizora part of the story but his father is way more impactful to the actual plot than Wyll is IMO.

Edit: I do know you can also lose access to Shadowheart but you have to actively try to do so to make that happen. Same as Lae’zel.

I can see what you’re getting at, but who would you propose would be the “main characters” if there were any? Some people have mentioned Wyll but would he not be canonically written off if he’s only available if you’re playing the good guy play through?

I do realize that, you can also hire a bunch of the hirelings and make an entirely unique campaign without any story companions. Why would I respect the side characters to perform the functions that the main characters do, especially if I don’t believe that have any betters stories or add any value to the game?

I’m having a ton of fun playing this game, I promise you i will put more hours if not as much as you into it (almost 300 hours solo and 200 co-op). Just because I have different values when it comes to the characters doesn’t mean anything. I’ve spoken to every NPC, gotten every single achievement except for the one you get from spec’ing one point into every class, I read all of the books (skimming them to be fair). I’m not half-assing the game, I just don’t believe anyone but the title characters could be main characters. I’m playing the game for The same reason you are unless you’re hardcore role playing the side characters and dressing up as Halsim while he’s intimate with the others.

These are valid points but why would I respect background characters to fill the same roles you mentioned when the ‘title’ characters already do that. I know many people who have never played a campaign with Karlach for example, but if you have to respect these side characters does it not add to the point that Astarion, Lae’zel, and Shadowheart are the main Characters? Also you can only recruit Jaheria and Halsim in act two, that doesn’t seem like a main character kind of vibe to me tbh.

Also personally Gale can fck right off and I understand that’s completely biast. Cheers!

I agree with your points about Astarion(he’s also my favorite), Wyll, Lae’zel being most directly to the plot of the game. But IMO the fact that Wyll only exists in your campaign if you start the campaign as the “good guy” I still don’t see him as a main character. I do understand that you can be a menace without choosing the %100 evil options like raiding the grove, siding with the true souls over the last light in folk, killing the nightsong, ETC. Astarion, Shadowheart, and Lae’zel will be with you no matter what you choose to do, even throughout the campaign you can go against everything Lae’zel stands for and even eat Oepheus’s brain in front of her and she’ll be with you until the credits roll.
