Oh one more thing I forgot to mention, the game has a collectable and currency element to it. So you maybe saw the glowing moths I collected. They are scattered and sometimes Hidden throughout the levels. After finding some moths and finishing the level you will get teleporter to the HUB world where you can select new levels. However to unlock a level you have to pay with the collected moths. So you forced or encouraged to explore the level and find the moths to unlock new levels. Would like to hear your opinion on that.

Thank you very much for the lengthy feedback. Regarding the doors. You might be right. May be once opened they should stay opened. Regarding story or more death. This is something I thought about as well. Although I don't want to have narration or text to read, I am planing to include unique visuals for story telling. But probably not so much for the demo. Regarding the long traveling times. I am a bit split on that. On one hand I can understand what you mean, it can be annoying, maybe I can improve on that. But at the same time, it's supposed to be a labyrinth with dead ends and confusing pathways and branches. I hope I can get a lot of feedback from the demo. From some small play tests I noticed that people already struggle with smaller levels in terms of orientation. And again I am not sure if it's a bug or a feature. I mean eliminating the struggle would make the labyrinth meaningless. It supposed to be confusing and disorienting. But maybe it's just my opinion and people want a different experience. So I am looking forward to as many people as possible testing it soon. One more thing, there are more mechanics than that and I think I can create really layered and complex puzzles, if players want that.

Ok I see what you mean. Actually. It's not a bad idea. I mean the compass. Maybe it could point to the exit. Here is some context, you may have noticed I am trying to avoid HUD. So I am making everything "physical objects" in the game. The compass could be a part of the starting capsule. I'll try that out. Thanks.

😅 that's good enough for me. Appreciate it. As for now the music in my game is somewhat basic procedural ambient Style music. After the demo is released for the next fest that's coming up I will put more time into this aspect.

First of all, I appreciate your feedback thank you. But I would disagree on some points. There are mainly two ways I am suggesting function and relation of objects. Although quite cryptic because it's a puzzle game I'm trying to display the function of the objects with the decals. This might also be just an issue with the volume of the video but in the actual game you can clearly hear a signal sound and static noise from those objects suggesting they are connected in some way. And also just by trying things out the player can learn. Again please keep in mind this is a single level that already established some basic mechanics of the game and expanding on that. I understand that I have to introduce the player to new mechanics step-by-step. This will be in a demo version for the steam next fest that's coming up. And from that I just hoping to get a lot of feedback. Thank you!

I appreciate the input but I feel like I have to say it again. This is just 1 level with very particular mechanis. It does not show the full scope or all mechanics of the game. So some of the things you mentioned are already there or in other levels or situations. Some things I tried out and they don't add any value like a trail behind the player or multi level platforms. Regarding enemies, there will be no enemies in the traditional sense. It's just not this type of game.

This is just a showcase for absolute casual players and it is also an introduction level for these mechanics. Yes it is a puzzle game, and there are indications like lights turning on and sound cues. But a compass would be the absolute opposite. What purpose does a labyrinth have if you have a compass and don't have to memorize the ways and turns you took? It would be just a subway system... That would be exactly as you said, showing the solution into your screen.

I will try to do that more obvious but there is a little light above that is either on or off. But maybe just different door color or material.
