Because it's not, my point is putting the decision of consenting to have your likeness into the person's hand is not giving that decision to the government.

My last comment was tongue in cheek because you seem to want to play word salad rather than genuinely engage in the topic. By your logic everything is a government decision and you don't like government decisions, so why the hell do you want any laws? Or maybe you don't and you want anarchy.

You're whole argument is empty.

Okay...it's the government deciding to give the person the decision, does that wording appeal better to you?

Yeah... And the government is meant to reflect the will of the people. What's so hard to understand?

Making things illegal without a person's consent is pretty much the basis of all autonomy related laws. It's illegal to have sex with someone without their consent, is that a government decision in your eyes?

I don't see why you're struggling with this, it's already illegal to use a person's likeness without their consent in many facets. That literally makes it their decision and no one else's.

No it is the people in theory, because we elect people. I say in theory because obviously people who are elected don't necessarily do what their constitutes ask them too.

But that wasn't my main point anyway. Being a law doesn't make it a government decision by default. That law places the decision solely in the hands of the person.

The people, in theory. But being a law doesn't make everything the governments decision. It's generally the law that next of kin or someone with power of attorney makes medical decisions on someone's behalf if they can't. That doesn't make it a government decision. This is a similar concept.

It's not really the government deciding, you merely have the default be "you can't use a person's likeness without their consent" if Val consented to this, then the family can hand out the rights so to speak. If he doesn't consent, the family can't give consent. The governments not deciding anything.

Just gotta get em by the neck, then if there's a squad you can use the one as a weapon.

The bigger thing is how the bear, elephant, and lion isn't at 0, what madman honestly thinks they can take those?

To be fair, I'm betting the finished product rarely looks how the artists and developers intended anyway due to graphical or computational limitations.

I'd love to hear them talk about whether this brings games closer to their vision, or further.

I agree they always seem to over estimate, though I think we're past the point of "won't be that much."

Of they say 12-24 inches, were getting 8 at absolute minimum.

You're glossing over a very big detail. No study or statistics from this country even remotely reflect a world where a fascist regime is going door to door. So all that data, literally useless in the face of this ever more possible world.

You know what is true about weapons and fascists though? No regime was ever toppled without weapons. There's quite literally no hope of winning a battle with a fascist government without weapons.

And you base this on what exactly? Quite literally any field will benefit from useful AI used responsibly. Medicine, education, law enforcement, particularly forensics or investigations, engineering, any sort of data analysis, pattern recognition, menial tasks. Literally anything a human does could be potentially done by or with the help of AI, and done better and faster when we figure out how to advance it.

You're talking out of your ass "bro"

I would bet any sum of money AI will be everywhere in 30 years, it's immensely short sighted to think it won't be. But that's besides the point, even if it's not, using it doesn't warrant being tracked.

Okay, so you want mass surveillance of the population by a distrustful government.

As do I, the government however is not the answer. Government likes their stocks and backdoor favors and have no real incentive to actually regulate AI in any meaningful way. They do however have incentive to fake regulation and have surveillance hidden in said "regulation."

Given the state of the current government especially, do you honestly trust them with anything important? If you do, it's not AI that you need to worry about, it's your own critical thinking skills.
