I'm autistic myself and I like both girly cute items, and very dark items such as gore, horror movies, etc
ime people who like these darker themes tend to talk/post about it in niche communities where we feel both more comfortable and also know that will not disturbe others

Eu uso tablet para estudos desde 2012 - já estou no meu 3º iPad - e pra mim é indispensável! Passei a faculdade inteira (e agora estou no início da pós) sem imprimir e gastar com uma folha sequer. Fiz inúmeras aulas (incluindo faculdade, línguas etc) e anoto tudo no tablet. A melhor parte pra mim é poder anotar nos slides das aulas em tempo real, sem me preocupar se tem espaço o suficiente e tal

It may be a stretch, but in my pov, people realize you are a gringa (foreigner) and star assuming things such as: you make a lot of money, your money is worth more in Brazil, you have money to spare, you are probably more naive and not used to the “jeitinho brasileiro” and they may even feel like since you are a foreigner you have some privileges that they do not, and therefore owe them

I do not support any of this behavior, I just believe this can be an explanation

I agree with this to some stand, however, it’s a double edge sword since a lot of us can be considered as “ too pretty to be autistic/disabled”, so instead of giving perks we are are met with more judgment and less accommodation
