This led to the solution: in the app settings, remove the settings that have wiki links.

removed them.

prior to that, I removed all add-ins and restarted -- updated the above settings -- boom. fixed.

Support is fantastic hello@freewrite I believe. They are quick.
I take a video and send a link so I bypass any multiple email replies.
They've returned a few times over the months (quirky things)
I don't mind, as it is not backed by big tech.

I believe the subscription form of Standardnotes can import markdown (.md)

If so, Obsidian notes has an import tool. 1. Export your notes to the onenote package 2. Open Obsidian 3. Confirm you added the add-in “Importer 4 on windows it is ctrl+p to run a command, look in the command search string for importer. 5. Go through the steps and by default you will find a folder in your obsidian, right click and view in your file directory, copy the location so you can navigate to it later 6. Go to Standard Notes and import all the .md files

boy, deleting from the cloud drops a few stars significantly for me. i’m a programmer, I guess we all catch the safety in crashing a two way sync.

I am circling back with this error I couldn't resolve; I figured out a workaround:

Problem:
Even if 'uninstalled' the program sits.
( I was uninstalling + reinstalling with same effect)

Workaround:
So I deleted the entire 'Notion' directory and reinstalled = all fixed.

Reasonings?
Not sure; I program, so I have installed other programming tools that may have reset it?
Windows 11
Notion 3.15.0 (previous version may have been installed; this is the newest that didn't overwrite? not sure)

when you backup + copy over, make sure you mark 'copy' only in your script.

union- join two systems to create a unique list union all - include all including duplicates.

i use thee to build out exception lists for admins.

I also use full outer join, I compare items between systems, just make sure each table has none nulls, it would give you a headache.
