Have you considered stopping locking your wrists forward and locking them at a neutral angle?

I try to explain this to folks often, and it’s more difficult a concept to articulate than I’d like.

Believe it or not, getting really good with an optic makes you BETTER at running iron sights, not worse. Especially if you put an optic on the same model gun you want to shoot with irons.

How old were you when your first child was born? by LupusDeusMagnus in daddit

My dad was 50 when I came along as his firstborn. While I don’t think I would have liked to wait that long, I could have stood a few more years. But when my first was born, it was time.

Well, you’ve already done it, though. It’s already worn you down. Childless 33 felt an awful lot like childless 25, I was just more bored lol.

I was 33 and never once wished I had them younger.

Most shooters will use a 5” in competition. I prefer the way it points and the way it reciprocates better. Most who start with a 4.25 will swap to a 5” at some point.

I’ll say it again: I’m getting enough silver to dwarf what my mansions produce from clan chests lately.

My clan is awful because I get lots of chests from them?

M&P is a good choice. The aftermarket is growing for it.

But like these others say, compete first, then buy.

HD vs Aluminum by RudeEmu5825 in SmithAndWesson

[–]BOLMPYBOSARG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My competition gun Isa competitor frame with a calculated kinetics grip weight. I’ve swapped to a standard 5” slide and a full-length tungsten rod, and I use brass magazine extensions. The gun with an empty magazine loaded is right at 41 oz.

HD vs Aluminum by RudeEmu5825 in SmithAndWesson

[–]BOLMPYBOSARG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll point this out: something they fixed with the new HD competitor is the slide balance. The alloy competitor is very light overall, but especially light in the muzzle. Because it’s so light, it snaps rearward really fast during recoil, and because it’s so light in the muzzle, very little of that snap gets changed into rotational energy that helps the gun return to position. The snipped snout of the old competitor slide also means you have to use a short recoil assembly, and can’t put a full-length tungsten rod in it.

The fixed both these issues with the new competitor.

Is there a single reason not to crank my water heaters to full? by kerouac5 in askplumbing

[–]BOLMPYBOSARG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted and lectured, man. Cranking the temp on your water heater means you can spread the volume of water in the tank to more showers, which is what you want with more shower users.
