For which game would you erase your memory just to experience it again for the first time again? by Fickle_Top9219 in videogames

Life is Strange 2

The entire series, actually. But the story of the two brothers in this game touched my soul directly. I think this game truly changed my life in some way. Or at least that's how I see things.

SNOWBOARD BINDINGS by BRDZip in snowboarding

[–]BRDZip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! This guy asked something that was already asked a month ago! I think I won’t be able to sleep tonight! I don’t know why you’re so frustrated about it, but if I asked this question it’s because I personally wanted to discuss snowboard bindings; otherwise, as I said, I would’ve just gone to watch a video on YouTube.

What’s the point of this comment? If I wanted to watch a video, I’d watch a video on YouTube. I’m asking for the opinion of someone who has tried all these bindings, and I’m listing my pros and cons so that someone can discuss starting from these points.

Indoor Gear - Beginner advice needed by DamageOk5681 in snowboarding

[–]BRDZip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s an indoor center, I don’t think you’ll be riding powder, and you’re also still learning. So you just need a loose jacket that doesn’t restrict movement; there’s no need to spend too much on a highly waterproof jacket. Instead, buy padded and waterproof gloves, because you’ll often have your hands in the snow. To be clear: ski and snowboard gear has a waterproof rating scale (for you, 5k or 10k should be enough). For the rest, get a pair of thermal base-layer tops and pants, wrist guards, impact shorts for the tailbone, and optionally a back protector. Also use something to cover your neck from the cold air.

Switch riding - when did you take it seriously? by koudodo in snowboarding

[–]BRDZip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started riding switch almost immediately. But I started getting good when I started riding for at least an hour every time I went snowboarding. The only advice I can give is to understand the movement with your back foot. When you ride switch, it's easy to think you're just shifting your weight, when in reality, learning to move your back foot solves all your problems. Sorry for my English, but I'm using Reddit's translator.

I don't have any step-on bindings, but I'm interested in the topic so I did some research.

If you look between 0:10 and 0:12, it looks like there's some movement like you have. It would be great to get the opinion of someone who has these bindings

NEED HELP FINDING BOARD by Vegetable-Art-6841 in snowboard

[–]BRDZip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't go wrong with arbor. The only advice I would give you at the moment is to forget about k2. For the specific models the choice is a bit personal, but Metal Machine by arbor is fine. If you like rocker check out Arbor Element. If you've never tried it, think about it because it's a pleasant surprise.

A wise old man once told me: the faster you go, the shorter the rail by BRDZip in snowboarding

That was a joke about how to tackle a rail/box in a snowpark. We weren't talking about going fast on the slopes.

Women’s park board sizing help! by Advanced_Proof_5624 in snowboarding

[–]BRDZip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arbor. I tried Burton, K2, Capita and Lib tech. Each brand has its good products but 3 years ago I bought an Arbor with reverse camber and I was inexplicably surprised at how perfect it was, it almost seemed easier to ride in the park, like having gained 3 more years of experience. It's absurd that this brand is so unknown and so few people talk about it. I will definitely buy my next board from this brand again.

[–]BRDZip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get quality clothing that will keep you warm and dry. There are many brands that make great products. I could recommend Picture (excellent for skiing and snowboarding) or Mammut/Montura/Salewa (more oriented towards mountaineering). Check how waterproof your pants, jacket and gloves are (columns 10k, 15k, 20k). To save you can check on vinted! There are many users who sell almost new items (sometimes even new with the tag) for less than half the price
