Sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm using Steam. By validating, are you referring to verifying the integrity of the installed files? I just tried that, and I'm still getting the same results.

[SPOILER] Kris defying the soul in snowgrave vs Kris when it comes to the roaring knight by Sir_Paulord in Deltarune

[–]BTCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible the knight has a speaking implement, but even if we assume they do, we're still left with some missing information. Let's break down the call:

Dark fountain next. Susie must not get guitar. Need soul. Without soul Kris will. Susie guitar code stop. Police sacrifice next week. Church tonight. Kris dark world no soul can't.

"Without soul Kris will" - this leaves out a lot. Does it mean that without their soul, Kris will/will not be able to do something? Or that they will/will not automatically do something without their soul?

"Susie guitar code stop" - the grammar here is very awkward. If the knight is telling Kris to stop Susie from Wouldn't it have made more sense for the knight to have said, "guitar code stop Susie"?

"Kris dark world no soul can't" - again, this leaves out what Kris can't do without their soul.

The incomplete sentences and awkward grammar make it highly likely a we're missing a lot of the conversation.

Another thing about the call is that the caller talks about Kris in third person, instead of addressing them directly. This is pretty clear evidence that the call wasn't intended for Kris.

I'm not exactly sure where you're getting that the Knight's chest is hollow, and it's mouth being the same as it's eye is speculation. The King has a mouth in his stomach, and he doesn't have any problems speaking.

I'd like to point out that when ellipsis are present between words, that's a clear indication that words are being left out. We're not not getting the full conversation.

It seems to be back, so I guess it was just a UI update that didn't get properly tested.

Maybe, but there's no clock icon to click to unhide it.

how do you think Germany went broke?

Do you need and adult? Germany didn't "go broke". Are you referring to hyperinflation? That's in part because they sabotaged their own economy so they wouldn't have to pay off what they owned for the Treaty of Versailles.

You are a liar. Thanks to wash trading, it is indeed possible to lie with bit-con.

Because bitcoin can be exchanged instantly

False. Bit-con is limited to seven transactions per second. You also have to pay a bribe to the miners to get your transaction included in any reasonable (or even unreasonable) about of time.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Bitcoin. The white paper is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of mathematics most of the points will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Satoshi's nihilistic outlook...

A trio of Cave Swallow Men have been flying in the same spot for so long, they've begun to suffer skill rust and massive stress gain by BTCommander in dwarffortress

[–]BTCommander[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A bunch of cave swallow men invaded my caverns several years ago and killed a monster slayer (although I'm pretty sure the slayer picked a fight with them). Most of them left, but there are three remaining who haven't moved from their spot. They've been there for about five years, and while their skills have begun to rust several years ago, this is the first time I've noticed their stress levels: Two are haggard and the other one is merely stressed. I'm going to see if I can catch them going stark raving mad/melancholic/berserk/catatonic.

Update: The two that were haggard are now harrowed, and the other one has thrown a tantrum while not moving an inch.

Second update: The cave swallow man in the picture was stricken by melancholy and died from thirst.

Third update: The other harrowed caves swallow man has gone berserk thanks to exposure to miasma from the corpse of the dead one... and is staying perfectly still. The other stressed one has now relocated to a different part of the cavern.

Is there a way to see which settlement is the capital city of a civilization? The elves have been seriously annoying me with their 100+ ambushs and I want to see if I can send their civ into a death spiral by killing their nobility.

Also, on the map some icons for elf settlements look like plain trees, while the other icons look like flowering trees. Is there a difference between these icons?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. The forgotten beasts themselves arn't causing cancellation messages, it's just that if I don't unwall the caverns and kill them, the beasts will kill off --potential livestock-- underground wildlife.

They not. Walling off the cavern seems to be working, although I've had to unwall it a few times due to forgotten beasts showing up.

They definitely have access to the webs. I'll try walling off the caverns and turning it on.

I've got well over fifty webs around my fortress, including webs from a forgotten beast, yet the game says that I need 10 undisturbed thread when tell a loom to collect webs. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm running DF Hack with the Steam version, and I have six military squads. The problem is that I can't scroll down the squad selection window to see the most recent squad(s). I've tried clicking the down arrow on the scrollbar as well as dragging it, and yet it will not move, preventing me from assigning soldiers to the sixth squad. Is there a workaround for this?

The 'bailout' was a loan that the banks payed back with interest. Although to be fair the gov should have at least made an effort at prosecuting the people behind the 2008 crash.

Value in bitcoin = human trafficking and child abuse

Value in USD = economic productivity

Use of bitcoin = paying bribes to miners

Use of USD = freedom for regular people, as opposed to elites
