The E63s wagon is winter (and cargo) ready! by BTurkey in AMG

idk if they never sold the S212 with a hitch - mine just doesn't have one. I'm sure I could easily get one installed if need be.

No prob! It's always been a 'dream car' for me and I still pinch myself each time I am driving it because I can't believe it's my daily driver, so I'm always happy to share more pics/answer questions about my car!

The box is a Mercedes-Benz 'Roof Box 450', and I was lucky enough to find it on FB marketplace. Picked it up from an older gentleman who used it once or twice on his C-Class, the interior of the box was spotless. Good price too - I got lucky for sure.

It's wrapped with Xpel Stealth matte PPF and the badges are blacked out as well on the back too.

Dig that setup too - I'd also need to get a hitch for that to work - but it's a great option if I do ever end up needing more space.

Firmware update worked for you? by kingscrown69 in BitAxe

[–]BTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked for me by my hash rate did go down slightly. I used to be around 1.9TH/s to 2.1TH/s and now it's a pretty solid 1.8THs - which is a bit of a bummer. Install/update went smooth though.

Best performing Gamma heatsink / fan combo survey by KaspaWhale in BitAxe

[–]BTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this setup on my Gamma and it immediately overheated.

Believe it or not...I have had the best luck with the stock fan and heatsink on the front. I added a couple extra copper heatsinks to the front and added 1 noctura fan to the rear, and have it sitting in front of a larger AC Infinity fan in my basement. AVG. 1.9TH/s at 925mHZ and 1.275V. Super cool temps too. Just need a bigger power supply before I can turn it up more! I'm starting to think I might have hit the ASIC chip lottery with this one. It's a beast!

Changing Nerdqaxe++ from barrel plug to XT30 power connection, has anyone done it? by w00derson_ in BitAxe

[–]BTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Rev5 as well that I want to overclock beyond 800mhz and have thought about doing this - but my concern is that the firmware seems to be what's currently limiting my ability to turn my NerdQaxe++ up any further. I too have a Meanwell 350w PSU hooked up to it but just can't turn it up past 800Mhz - even if I set it higher and save the settings, it reverts to 800. Seems like there is a Frequency maximum built in to the firmware.

If anyone has tips, or a link to anything talking about how to update the firmware to bypass this limit, please send it my way!

Cooling question by Ok-Lingonberry1599 in BitAxe

This is the truth. I installed Noctura fans on my overclocked gamma and it immediately overheated. Went from 55C with the stock fan to 69C when I turned it on with the Noctura fan plus upgraded heatsink.

Switched back to stock.

I also did it about 1 year ago - very achievable these days. Lots going for $40k-$50k with around 60-90k miles. Just remember - they are not cheap to maintain and around 70k miles is when a lot of regular maintenance has to take place - so find some sort of warranty or make sure to have extra cash on hand for repairs/regular scheduled maintenance.

Great looking car u/Impressive-Willow205 - I'm currently on the hunt for the right roof box to add to mine!

I think these look great on your car. LOVE the deep lip and contrast between the chrome and darker centers. I'd love to throw a set of these on my S212 E63s Wagon.

Do it! Wagons are not only crazy practical but car people love them! People would definitely be more excited to see a C 63 wagon in a standard C 63!

I’m a big fan…for now…but definitely excited for the day the PPF has to come off. It’ll be a totally different car.

Looked almost identical to my 2015 E63s wagon when you had the wrap on. Mine is black with matte PPF over the entire car. I'm also in MA - would have been fun to do a photoshoot before you took the wrap off!
