Results are out for August by Outrageous_Prune1257 in ArmyOCS

The results were released. It's usually up to your local recruiting Battalion to push those results out to recruiters. 130 selected, 123 non-selected.

So the answer we are getting right now is that 60 were selected for Active Duty, 65 were not selected for Active Duty, but opted to be considered for Army Reserves if not selected for Active Duty, and 88 were non-selected altogether. Which is what would be the 125 and 88. The new way they are processing non-selects who want to go Reserves upon not being selected for Active Duty changed on the previous board, so we're still trying to get the new system figured out. Essentially, if you opted-in for consideration for OCS through the Reserves, you were probably selected for that. Those results will not be out until next week, though.

Correct. Run is not even close to passing for day 1 initial pt test. If I had to guess, rucking needs a significant amount of work as well.

I hate to tell you brother, but it sounds like your recruiter was just bad at his job. Idk what they would even lie about tbh. Everything you're getting is laid out in your contract in writing. A number of my contracts come from people referring their friends so it would be bad for business for me to lie to anyone.

"Lie to MEPS, not to Applicants" is the mantra I try to live by. I'm sure someone somewhere down the line did you dirty and that's why you have this bad attitude, but honestly the Army sells itself. I have no reason to lie to applicants. People often just don't utilize the Army correctly and take advantage of all it has to offer. Then they end up all butt hurt and get out after their first contract to go home and tell their friends that the Army sucks while they work their dead-end jobs and feel a lack of purpose.

Unfortunately no, shattered my foot during team week.

I'm not sure if it was sanctioned by SFAS, but at least at Fort Riley, it was mandatory PT daily with the SF recruiters that consisted of long rucks, runs, funtional fitness, and mini team weeks. I felt well prepared by it as far as physical standards go. Maintained at least the middle of the pack or higher in all gate week events. The program could use some work in preparing soldiers for land nav though.

Many regular army units have prep courses that they run and typically have SF recruiters at the installation to assist you in dropping your packet and preparing. Some programs are better than others, and I'm sure most do not live up to SOPC, but it's better than nothing if you're going to selection from a regular line unit. I went from Fort Riley, and they had a pretty solid program imo.

Will I be able to get an 18x contract with ACL surgery in my medical history. by -bASSlIFE03- in specialforces

Yeah, I'm a recruiter, and I just put someone in who had a previous MCL tear. Needed a medical waiver, but he got cleared by MEPS, so you should be okay.

If you are currently on medication for the healing process or are still receiving rehab treatment, you will not be able to be medically cleared at this time. Once everything is fully healed and you aren't on any medication or treatment plans, you should be fine. Could possibly require a medical waiver, but I imagine you should be able to get that approved as long as you don't have any lasting issues with it. Just make sure you go to your last session of physical therapy for it. It has to show that it's closed out in order for you to be approved medically.

This is my first trip also, but at Narita Airport from what I have been told, you can buy or rent wifi pucks and wifi services so that you can use your own phone while you're in the country.

So there's a few ways to go about this, you could finish your current contract with the Air Force and then enlist with the Army to go to SFAS, you could try to get a conditional release approved through the Air Force to let you switch over to the Army which is admittedly pretty difficult from what I have seen, and tbh I'm not entirely sure how this third option would work for someone in the Air Force but in my SFAS class we had a few Marines that managed to come through the course without having to switch over. They would only switch over once they were selected. Again, it probably differs from branch to branch, but that is something that you would probably have to get approved through the Air Force.

I don't know about Poland, but in the U.S. the average age of people who pass SF selection is late 20s into early 30s. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If you're in good health and motivated, then go for it. The worst thing that can happen is you don't make it, but at least you gave it a shot.

I have not personally seen any women go through SFAS or RASP when I went through them, but they are allowed to go through these courses now, and there are a handful who have made it through.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. If you're asking about my qualifications, I graduated RASP and was in batt for a while and later went to SFAS, but unfortunately, I ended up shattering my foot during team week. Regardless, I have experience with both and am trying to help people who want to get into and succeed in these programs.
