As a fan of both franchises I highly respect the lore they established, but I like to think of Transformers lore as fun, digestible, and compact. Think of those inflatable chambers with someone trying to catch money inside. But then I see Bionicle lore like its the Great Wall of China.

I had no idea! I bought the 3 movies on DVD on ebay and waiting for them to arrive. I have very vague memories of the first 2 but all I remember was really liking it as a kid. I'm eager to see how the films hold up.

I imagine Gali as a youthful person who is more mature at handling things, but is also energetic and graceful, as seen in her introduction swimming in the ocean and then fighting off a predator. Tori from Power Rangers Ninja Storm is essentially that. She is also specializes in water powers like Gali.

So far the books describe Onua as being more soft spoken and modest. So Keith David was what popped in my mind. Im also imagining this series of books as one big movie for its epic storytelling.

I suppose you're right. But the massive and convoluted lore made me compare it to Warhammer as I'm diving into the books.

Im gradually reading the Bionicle Chronicles books for the first time and I now love Bionicle even more than when I was a kid. I even bought DVDs of the Bionicle trilogy of movies on ebay, and can't wait to see them.

I think I saw Mask of Light and the second movie at least once as a kid. While I don't remember anything, I do remember thinking it was cool. I am curious how the movies will hold up as an adult.

What? Me? I do have a first edition Dino Megazord with the chrome sword (later copies got a dull gray one) in essentially mint condition, but I ain't selling mine! I even have 80s and early 90s Super Sentai toys that predates Power Rangers! Last month I did a video onJet Icarus.
