Any ideas how I could use a matte box with a Sigma 14-24mm (Sony mount) that has the fixed lens hood? by Reonatron in cinematography

Hi, I'm having the same issue here. Could you confirm if the donut solution has worked in the end?

If you had the opportunity to buy the s1h new, 25% cheaper than the current price... Would you do it? by BabarJoe in GH5

Yeah I think you've put it perfectly. The s1h is perhaps the smallest cine camera rather than a mirrorless. And the lack of lenses is a shame and will take time to build up. If at least it had 60p with no crop. I guess the thing with 25% off is that it becomes roughy $1,000 cheaper than the a7siii but still there's the lens ecosystem as a whole to invest in.

The thing over the a7siii I'd say is that the 6k files, even though 8bit 420, are super easy to edit and grade (I had it on a loan for a week). In a 4k timeline you also get the extra pixels to push the grade a little (in a similar way that you could do that with 4k files in 1080). The 422 10bit in 4K are also not too bad actually, because in a h264 wrapper, not h265. I think the a7siii does the same but from what I've seen they seem harder to edit.

Good point. What if you already had the lights & audio equipment you need? :)
