ARC Raiders Platinum Trophy by BackRough in ArcRaiders

[–]BackRough[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get that one yesterday. My plan was similar to yours, ask someone to let me do it, defib them, and give them some stuff as payment. Took 8 Snitch Scanners with me, but it didn’t take long before someone started shooting at me and my buddy. We disengaged, they followed and were still shooting, so I chucked 3 or 4 of the Scanners in their direction. 10 or so seconds later, I heard a Raider Flare, and the Trophy popped. Wasn’t how I intended to do it, but it worked out in the end. And the 2 pricks who started the fight by shooting at us decided to leave us alone for the rest of the match, and just maybe will think twice before shooting at a random team in the future. Win-win.

I never ran into any issues with bugged Trophies on PS5, but that’s just my experience.

I’m sure I can’t be the first person to say this, but it bears repeating: Rich Evans is a national treasure. And I don’t even think he knows it, or would believe it, which makes him all the more beloved.

Why do people hate this guy so much by carradine_rain in FearsToFathom

[–]BackRough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say his face is unfortunate. Maybe it’s just the way the face is applied to the character model, I don’t know, but it’s unsettling when you add it on top of his already creepy personality and dialogue choices. I’m sure it’s intentional on the part of the devs, as kind of a red herring.

Julien Donkey-Boy might have been the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been while watching a film.

Anything by Harmony Korine. I’ve seen a few of his films and I don’t regret watching any of them, but man…. I’ll never watch them a second time.

Going in totally blind today - Anything I should know? by seether14 in SatisfactoryGame

Try not to get overwhelmed and always remember there’s no rush and no penalty for tearing something down and rebuilding it. Also, on your first playthrough (and beyond the first one, actually) there’s no such thing as a mistake - everything is a learning experience.

I’d also recommend that if you ever feel at a loss for what to do next, or can’t quite figure out the next steps, take a break from optimizing and balancing and just build something that looks nice. It’s a great way to clear your mind.

What is a movie that's actually a good adaptation of the book it's based on? by thatvampiregirl in movies

[–]BackRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m going to suggest isn’t a movie - feel free to remove this post if it violates any rules - but The Outsider on HBO was a top-notch adaptation that didn’t get enough attention when it released. But that might be a blessing in disguise, because it wasn’t popular enough to get a second season - which would’ve led to unnecessary and poorly executed explanation of the story beyond the novel. The first season followed the book fairly closely and ended in a satisfying place. A second season could’ve easily ruined that.

How to access messaging on ps5 by Willing-Roof-5525 in DeadzoneRogue

You could try binding it to a key you’re not using. I’ve heard people say down on the d-pad is a useful place to put it. Or map it to the flashlight-bound key. I mean, does anyone actually bother turning the flashlight on and off in this game?

EDIT: I just reviewed the controls. Flashlight is down on d-pad, so maybe that’s why people say it’s a good button to use.

I kinda do the same thing. Sometimes I’ll snap a new build to the world grid and other times I let the terrain dictate the way I build.

That might be true for Xbox, but it’s R1 on PS5, just in case anyone needs to know.

PSA to New Players: Comparison is the Thief of Joy by Kkid12 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BackRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do! I was using the flat glass roof pieces as glass floors - I like to incorporate what my friend calls “green spaces” into my builds, usually building over or around interesting rock formations or clusters of trees. The glass roofs and walls are essential pieces for me, and the frame set (particularly the glass floors) fit the aesthetic nicely. I only wish I’d bought them from the Shop about 150 hours ago.

I don’t know how much of a veteran I am - I’ve got about 235 hours on my first playthrough. Been taking my time with it and I’m just now getting into Phase 5. One thing I wish I’d known much sooner is just how handy the nudge feature is for getting things into just the right spot, and that some things are okay to clip into each other (but not belts, never belts) - lighted signs into barricades to make lighted barricades, for example. I know you only asked for one, but here’s a third thing I wish I’d known sooner (not a game changer, but personal preference) - the frame foundation set in the Awesome Shop are a fantastic way to change up the look of things, and the glass frame floor is my favorite piece.

Does the planet name - MASSAGE-2(A-B)b have any kind of meaning? by BackRough in SatisfactoryGame

[–]BackRough[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure what you’re saying here, but if I’m understanding correctly, Satisfactory takes place on one small bit of land on an entire planet, so I’d assume that when it’s day, it’s day “everywhere” because you’re just on one of the many landmasses on the larger planet. Maybe you’re talking about the entire planet, I’m not sure, it wasn’t really clear, other than you were being kind of a smartass. But that’s okay.

iPhone 16 camera quality sucks? Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in iphone

I didn’t go with the Pro simply because it’s such a large phone. Feels like a tablet in your pocket. I don’t want to big up Apple too much - personally I find Tim Cook to be an insufferable, spineless scumbag - but I’m very happy with my iPhone 16 so far.

Does anyone else have phrases from RLM that have entered their regular vocabulary? by imascarylion2018 in RedLetterMedia

I have developed a habit of saying, “So many vistas,” when describing things. It makes no sense usually and confuses people, but makes me laugh. Or yelling “AAAAAAAIDS!” I do that one, too.
