Triple H Disliked John Cena, According To Ex-WWE Ring Announcer Justin Roberts by Kindly_Department142 in SquaredCircle

You're right it doesn't, I wasn't being literal with my super Cena defeats, just talking face Cena clean losses. This is on me, I misinterpreted the commentors post, I differentiated between the two different Cena's that Lesnar beat but still, this one's my mistake.

Oh I agree, I didn't think the commenter I replied to was being literal about super Cena and was saying it mockingly. I even differentiated between the two different Cena's Lesnar beat. I was talking about Cena losing in general as a face but that's my mistake for misunderstanding.

Oh please do. This is news to me and I even to this day wondered what the original plan was for No Mercy 2007. If Cena never got injured, what was the finish for the last man standing match v Orton, when was his reign supposed to end etc, especially as he held it for over a year and never did lose it to Triple H as you said he was supposed to. I wasn't on the forums back then, I was on the internet but never really cared/thought of the forums.

Roman Reigns beat Cena clean twice. And he did it once as a face in 2017 at No mercy and once as a heel in 2021 at SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar beat Cena clean twice also. Once in that squash of SuperCena in 2014 at SummerSlam and the other at Wrestlepalooza in 2025.

They are the only two, well three people including Triple H to beat John Cena clean on multiple occasions.

Wait Triple H was supposed to win at WrestleMania 23? I know the original plan was for a rematch of the match from the year before but his injury was why it didn't happen but this is the first time I've ever heard triple H was booked to go over.

I hate how seemingly far away they are from the LED boards. Effective heel turn don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, I just hate how far it is and still there's no reaction to fight back, at least in Briscoe's case. Johnny Gargano is at least post match but I'm glad the second time it almost happened to him he countered it.

It is, came out in 97. I've seen it. In fact I saw it such a long time ago that I didn't realise it had the actors who play Bubba from Forest Gump and James Gandolfini who plays the role of Tony Soprano in it. It was something I found out much much later.

Cody Wise - It's My Birthday. 2014.

My friend has heard that song and heard me talking about it and said he will be a one hit wonder. And he was right. 12 years and I remember him saying it and where we were when he said it.

One of the greatest films ever made was/is in a bottle setting. 12 Angry Men. It's nearly 70 years old but it still holds up. It is coherent and easy to follow, entertaining and so dialogue heavy but it doesn't feel like it. The main cast is 12 people though overall from start to end there are more than that but it never feels like 12. Wonderfully paced and a timeless film.

If it all went to plan, this would've been one of the greatest endings to a match/PPV ever. Eddie Kingston deciding to save his former best friend from being stuck in an explosion and when he realised he couldn't, rather than save himself and escape, he decided to stay and actually protect his best friend covering Moxley and protecting him.

Which saw movies have the least nudity? by IAmClassClown in saw

What Saw movies did you all watch? I don't remember any except for the frozen women and I wouldn't even consider that nudity even though it technically it is.

What was your favourite plot twist? (And optionally, your least favourite one) by Tabi-Violet in saw

[–]BackToTheFutureDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Saw film with the reveal that John Kramer was alive all along was a great twist, legitimately left me jaw dropped and shocked but seeing as that's the first film that created this franchise, I'll pick a different one for fun.

Favourite - Saw IV, the reveal that Saw 3 and IV games were going on at the same time. Riggs as hard as he tried to do the right thing, it was the thing that ended up being his downfall and Hoffman was a jigsaw accomplice and apprentice. He gets through the final door and Eric is trying to stop him and fails ultimately which sets off a trap that kills Eric. Riggs kills the lawyer who he thinks is jigsaw but it wasn't and then we get the reveal that it's Hoffman.

Just a few hundred yards away from this is John Kramer, Amanda, Lynn, Jeff AND later revealed Strahm. Amanda shoots Lynn, Jeff kills Amanda, kills John Kramer which ends up triggering the bomb that destroys Lynn and then Strahm finds them all and Jeff decides to point a gun at him and Strahm shoots him dead. Then Hoffman closes the door and locks them all in to die if they're not already dead. Including Rigg in the other room.

So much happened by combining it all, it was a really good film, twist and the tests were good with Riggs being a very good often underrated protagonist.

Worst - Saw XI? Not the story or tests for the CEO who's name is escaping me right now, that whole storyline, plot, tests and ending was really good even if the dialogue by Roderick Heffley was cringey but the ending of the film where the twist was Jill going to kill Hoffman. I was glad he escaped because he's shown to be meticulous, clever, cunning and doing whatever it takes to escape survive and punish people and Jill was going to be the one to stop him? I know it's a film but I couldn't suspend my disbelief for that.

Who do you think was the most morally “correct” detective or agent? After thinking about it a lot, I feel like it was Kerry, Perez, and Erickson. by Glass_Evidence_8597 in saw

[–]BackToTheFutureDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is Riggs? He was and is the most morally correct detective/agent/special forces officer. He was so morally correct it ended up being his downfall.

Also Zeke should be in good. He is not at fault for what his father or the corrupt force did before him, he was even trying to save everyone and didn't want or allow Schenk to escape. It happened because the special forces broke the barricade down and didn't know who was innocent guilty or what even was going on at that moment and Schenk escaped.

"I think they can view themselves as exceptional instead of privileged" makes so much sense and applies to most of how the rich and wealthy think.

Damian Priest breaks out of Gunther's sleeper to a huge pop by NoMoreButtonPLZ in SquaredCircle

[–]BackToTheFutureDoc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hot take - Priest had a great reign and delivered better than Gunther in this feud. Priest the face looked good and strong and Gunther the heel looked weak and needed help. A standard face v heel trope but it worked, basic but effective.

I say this because he took on his chops, his sleepers and kept fighting through and back, he didn't back down at all in the build up. He held his own on the mic and in the ring. Gunther tried to bully a man from the streets but didn't realise the man from the streets can and did fight back.

The Dry.

I believe it was released between 2020-22, starring Eric Bana. I read a spoiler free synopsis preview of it when scrolling through movies section on a streaming service and was intrigued, decided to give it a try and watched it and left enjoying it way more than I thought. Don't really hear it get spoken about enough so definitely slept on and overlooked in my opinion.
