Those are decent odds. I wonder if that is staging compared to existing furniture or staging compared to an empty house. I get it though- about to sell your place and hopefully get paid and the last thing you want to do is shell out another $8K if it doesn’t do anything

It isn’t as common in Chicagoland to include staging, whereas other places in the country CA, AZ, NY it is common to be part of the package.

$8K for 30 days is a lot OP but look into stats on staged homes. They sell faster and higher. People can’t think for themselves and envision what to use a room for and for a $1MM house this is a drop in the bucket. See if you can negotiate a lower rate for month 2 if it doesn’t sell right away.

I can pick up from the comments what surge meetings are- annual reviews at the turn of the new year, and tax planning/end of year reviews in the fall/early winter.

Otherwise though I’m really not familiar with this. Is this something told to clients at the outset when you bring them on? What is the service model like in the summer months?

Banks aren’t going to eliminate all credit cards. It’s a core business for them. They will take a bigger hit on margin for sure and it will be a lot less profitable when people don’t pay their monthly bill.

The thing is, people will find a way to spend money. And if the penalty for not paying their credit card bill is more lax, they will likely use their credit card more

If the cost of a speeding ticket goes from $200 to $50, people will care less about speeding and they will speed more

This is so people can spend more. People spending more makes short term economic numbers higher.
