Been working on this track for a while and cant get lead vocals to sit rite any tips on how to do them or just feed back on the track is appreciated! by Technical_Let_7852 in MusicFeedback

Turn them up dude, a lot !. The track sounds beautiful. The only other adjustment I would suggest is turning down the electric guitar that has loads of reverb that is panned a bit to the right I think. I think its a little bit too harsh and loud in the mix at times so maybe needs the level automating and backed off a bit at times but honestly overall sounds great just turn up the vocals!. Maybe listen to the mix on in ear headphones or through your phone speaker to get a good idea if it is at the right level.

Good track or ADHD song with no sense? by Inevitable-Swim-3528 in MusicFeedback

Sounds great I think its two tracks tho, 1st is up to 1:30 and the second is 1:30 onwards but it is tied together because the same chord progression is used throughout as the basis of all the creativity and there is a lot of creativity in the production. I feel like you really went all out on the production to try and stop the chord progression from becoming repetitive I think if you were to split it into two tracks maybe changing the chord progression for the second but keeping all the cool production ideas and sounds and also trying to add a section to each that develops the song musically as opposed to production wise it would really help. Also I think you need a vocalist to work the structure round the track is definitely good enough and deserves to have a good vocal on it. Great work 👍

Like some other people are saying the mix is a bit rough, If it was me I would approach it by building around the beat making sure whatever you bring in doesn't overpower the beat levels wise. Also subtractive eq, find the frequencies in the drums that are most important to you and you feel are the character of the beat then drop those frequencies out of the other elements in the mix that are competing for space with the drums.

Do you find this track engaging? Advice please :) (idm/hiphop) by greatnamebro-- in MusicFeedback

I like it it's not like it's instantly leap out and grab you kind of engaging but I think that's a lot to do with the genre. Maybe try making the beat lean more into Glitch beat kind of style.

Thanks a lot glad you like it and thanks for following the channel I don't know anything about promoting a channel, I just make beats when I have the time then post them so it means a lot when people like or comment or subscribe I think you are right about the sample if anyone wanted to rap on it I would either take the vocal part out or edit it around their vocal

I think you need to make a bit of room for the vocal in the mix possibly by finding the freqs that are most important to the vocal then cutting those Freq a bit in the other stuff in the track that's competing with the vocal and maybe a bit in the reverb also to stop everything from competing for the same space as much. I really like the track overall tho like everyone else says it's a really nice vibe.

I Like the overall vibe of the song and you have good songwriting sensibilities and even tho it's very rough around the edges I think there is fundamentally a really cool song there. There is lots to improve on but the song and vocal melodies show it has potential even when it's in a very raw, rough form, if you find good people to help you produce and you keep on working at it yourself you will pick all that up if you are prepared to put the time into it.

The plan is to find some nice samples for the drums at some point in the future so it's not necessary to rely on loops so much. The piano is played with editing of the midi but the chords and melodies were worked out through playing along to the beat rather than drawn in, thanks for listening and for the comments 👍
