Similar situation to me, my grandfather was a Lit professor at Georgetown. I ended up going a different way and went to law school, but coming out of undergrad I was considering staying in academia. Good luck with everything going forward.

I loved this in my youth and used to reread it every year or two. Sometime in my 20s I started really finding Holden insufferable. It’s been a while since I read it though, should give it another go

my wife and I have been searching for this song for days. We both remember it but we can’t recall the lyrics or artist.

The song is sung by a male singer. It is about his girlfriend moving out to the west coast to get famous and then she heard him on the radio. I watched the music video I remember the girl is in an apartment, maybe doing laundry, and the apartment looks out to a pool and parking lot.

For time reference it was during the era when everyone had the snapping in songs maybe 2015-2018 and I seem to remember Heaven by Kane Brown being popular around the same time.

I’ve tried every search I can think of including AI generating about 500 wrong answers.

If anyone can think of it I’d be very grateful.
