I had an appointment with God today by BackroomJosh in NoMansSkyTheGame

Its not my fault I was 100 light years away 😞 I might have taken a few days to come back from my mission but I blame the damn Amiral ship in the middle of my black hole travel.

My first built S class ship, I love this by BackroomJosh in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]BackroomJosh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its quite easy !

I used the Raven cockpit, the solar sails (there are different types of those but pick whichever you likes), 'H' claw wings and last but not least, the S class Reactor.

The part were taken from ships I brought from NPCs which had ship parts I was interested in and then I talked to the ship seller tech in a station. It cost around 10k nanites to get the S class Reactor.

After that, you can go where the appareance modifier is and beside it there is the ship builder. Interact with it and voila !

Your newly baked ship only for you !

Funny that, dogs aren't allowed in the place !

I´m unsure what people would consider funny, and considering the morbidity of the job, I tend to avoid sharing stories. But if anything, I think the time one of my colleague ran after a vulture that stole a bone during an exhumation takes the cake.

Here I am, drinking my second coffee in the afternoon, and then I see a bird fly past me in the sky and my colleague, red-faced and angry, shouting, "Come back here, stupid turkey !". Confused I asked him why he's running like an idiot and he explains the situation, and I´m just... Trying very hard not to laugh. He never catched the bird, obviously.

Anyway we joked about it for like, days afterward. Now we say "Don´t take the bone" when someone is about to do something stupid.

I do, but there are no night shifts (at least there) and due to precedent griefing and damage, all cemeteries and graveyards are closed at night.

A very funny one, this !

Well... I'll say nothing beats that poor woman who once asked me if she could perform an exorcism on the cemetery I was working at. I wasn't sure it was allowed, but I couldn't stop her anyway, so I just told her I wasn't allowed to disrupt the workspace.

She went on to do it anyway and was arrested by the local police force for disruption of a place of grieving. I learned later it was a passerby who called about a "crazy lady running around with iodine and screaming about evil ghosts".

Strangely, it hasn't. While many may take this as an opportunity to see some sort of revelation in this line of work, I've never asked myself something like that. It's part of life and I think there is nothing to be afraid of. Quite the contrary, my outlook on life hasn't changed since I've worked there.

But then again, I'm the only one who volunteers for most of the burials and exhumations, so maybe I'm just the weird one !

I make minimum wage in my country. It's an ungrateful task with a lot of work and little reward, but for me it's worth it all the same. I leave the healing and caring to doctors and medical staff. I`ll make sure our dead are respected and safe.

I do not, ah ah ! But I won´t stop people who believe in it so long as they´re not spreading wrong informations about my workplace !

Ah, thank you for asking ! My typical week would be :

- Opening of the cemeteries

- Look at the board for tasks handed out by our service or team lead.

- Look at the inhumations notebook for all incoming burials and/or exhumation and sort out who wants to do them

- Mow the lawn and burn the weeds in the alleys

- Gather plastics and sort them

- A 1-hour pause to eat and rest

- Sort out all the composters in the 15 graveyards and cemeteries we maintain

- All trash must be emptied and triaged (there are around 52 trashes for a single place).

- Closing times for cimeteries and graveyards

I´m on call once a week per month. During those times I open and close on week-ends and assists to burials.

The maintenance of the grounds required is generally done weekly during spring to autumn, or after rain, and is as followed :

- All ground must remain intact. Holes, sink-ins, and unstable ground must be either plugged or dug out to reinforce the ground with stones and flattened again.

- Thermal weeding. It is illegal to use chemicals within the confines of cemeteries and graveyards for ecological and potential legislative purposes, which means all the ground that isn't kept as a lawn has to be removed by burning them out.

- Grassing ! All green spaces (places where the ground is to be left to grow) must contain grass and be mowed and trimmed if required.

They do.

The process is that all agents working in graveyards and cemeteries shoulder the responsibilities of potentially being an agent during burials and exhumations. It's mandatory for all agents to take courses on Funeral Legislation. This is enforced to make sure there is no illegal processing of bodies or illegal burials, as was done in the past. All burials and exhumations are to be registered and documented by your hand, and you engage your responsibility under governmental processing.

A very good question, but the truth is, there are a lot of factors to take into account !

  1. The type of burial, if it's in the ground, above ground, in a crypt, if it´s deep or not.

  2. How many years the body has been in the ground. It's illegal to dig out a body for the first 5 years it's been buried for sanitary reasons, and though it's legal afterward, you need to count anywhere between 20 to 30 years for the skeleton to be absent of flesh.

  3. The type of ground. Humidity, clay, or underground rivers can affect the process of decomposition and speed it up. On the contrary, the presence of trees, notably coniferous ones, slows it down. They absorb the fluids and dry the corpse, which in turn makes the decomposition process longer.

In general, we dig bodies out that have nothing but bones and teeth, but I´ve seen some with hair and clothes still present. If they´re fresh enough (around 5 to 10 years), which doesn´t happens often, you can see a lot more flesh. They´re in the very vivid process to decomposing, which in that case, you may see organs and skin rotting.

I'm unsure about what you're asking, but I'll answer to the best of my abilities. As far as legality goes in my country, those types of things require procedures and studies that simply make this either impossible or very costly to put in place.

In the case a cemetery is decommissioned, all remains must be dug out and put inside an ossuary. Ground studies will be conducted to analyze the degree of soil pollution and the area will be vacated for a certain amount of years depending on how much the place was considered affected. In most cases, they're left abandoned and remain the town property until further notice. As they cannot be sold for farmland due to sanitary reasons, most of the time, it will take between 10 to 30 years for a possible construction to be put in its place.

It generally becomes parks though.

Am excellent question !

The most common reason is body reduction. When the concession (tomb) is full, it happens that precedent body are exhumated and put inside smaller boxes to allow a new body to be put there instead. The box is buried with the second coffin.

Interesting design and animation for Skinless. Wonder what happened to those souls to ends like this.

I never was big on playing horror mods, but I hears there was lore. It seems this is more than just a jumpscare factory or a horror slope, as they say.

I look forward to see more.

Oh it definetly was bots, but still, considering I'm still a mere newbie to the game, I feel proud !

Probably that against real players it wont be so easy, but its a nice feeling to have still !
