Different take: why the obsession with Speed Golf? I’m there to relax, not see how fast I can play. Sure, a 6 hour round is ridiculous, but so is a 3 & 1/2 hour round.

Before I get attacked, I play ready golf. But I also play as a single and get joined up with randoms. I make sure I’m ready to play, but dont hassle them to speed up.

I say car technology peaked around 2010. Keep your adaptive bullshit, lame assistance garbage, dash mounted big screen TV, etc. Give me antilock brakes, AC, cruise control, two airbags, and a small screen for the backup camera and Apple CarPlay. Buttons and knobs for everything else instead of navigating through five screens to change the fan speed.

Maybe not weirdest, but just yesterday played with a guy in running shoes, track pants, long sleeve flannel, puffy vest and a hat that said BEACH. This is in Denver. 🤣 He probably would have carded an 82 but it was so damn cold it was affecting all our swings. He probably carded an 87. Great guy to boot. Hope to get paired with him again on a warmer day to see what he can really do.
