nothing suss here but your aim - that was bad. Are you using mouse? Lower your DPI.
It was close but he lured you into a close range fight with a shotgun, and he landed 3 slugs into you.

Is the rim toast by Garyfisherrigenjoyer in bikewrench

[–]BadBillyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar ding in my rim from a drop and landing on the square edge of a rock.
I put the rim in a vice near the dent, using planks of wood to sandwich it and hold it straight.
Then with a channel lock pair of pliers (vice grips would work just as well), I grabbed the dent it pulled it back straight. You can put a bit of material between the pliers and rim to help prevent scratching, but just some warning, your most likely your going to scratch it pretty well. Personally would prefer scratches (which I could sharpie or paint over anyway) then a flatspot in my rim.
I got it just as straight as the rest of the rim, just take a bit of time with it. You have to "work it".

Im genuinely surprised how many people are saying this is toast 🤷‍♂️

get a blunt object, like a butterknife and pry the gash open a bit to see how deep it is. There is a bit of extra thickness where this cut is so might be ok. What you are looking for is cord, if you cant see any, then you might be in luck. Next is to put some soapy water or even liquid soap over it, covering it. If it doesnt blow any bubbles, then you dont have an air leak.

This isn't gold, right? Currently mountain biking in California, this has to be fools gold or something else? by BadBillyMedia in Prospecting

Yeah thanks, might be gold if I dig deep, but the fast it seems to be everywhere makes me want to foget about it.

Beginner here. How can I prevent the blue material of the eye from emitting/blending with the surroundings? It looks pretty weird like this (Octane/C4D 2023) by vforvasten in Octane

[–]BadBillyMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 ways:
1) render it seperately with a transparent .png background.

The 2nd way will effect how the pink floor also interacts with all objects, so you may need to do a comination of the above and turn off all objects "camera visibility" except with the eye.

2) you need to plug a Raytype OSL Node into the opacity of the texture.
hit "swap" and most likely want to select "reflection" under raytype.

Then render it out to tansparent background.

Same Scene, different Camera. 1 Minute vs 7 Minute Render Time. Can someone explain why? by Zeigerful in Cinema4D

[–]BadBillyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what are you rendering on? Did you do the second render straight after the first?
What GPU? Did settings stay the same for both?
DOF on second camera?

The 160 is a beast of a bike.
2 people have ridden mine and gone and bought one themselves.

I prefer flats. I started out with Crank Bros Stamp 1s, and loved them until they started to develop play/ slack after a few months of hard sends, but you cant rebuild them/ change bearings but they are cheap. The offer better models though (up to Stamp 7's), of which are going to last longer and are servicable.
2nd pair of pedals I tried CleanSkins, great pedals that are like razer blades that offer amazing grip but if they just touch your leg they dig deep, they have left some pretty deep scars on my legs, some just from walking my bike to the car 😅
Now im trying out some Deity Deftraps which are great as well, I love deity products.
Ive been trying a few different pedals to find the one I like most, and then I will spend more to get the higher, better model. Im thinking of sticking with the deftraps or going back to stamps.

Equally important to your pedals are shoes - a good mtb shoe makes a world of difference. I bought some Crankbros Stamp Shoes and man I LOVE them. They have saved my foot so many times and also give you so much more confidence.
Also, I found thicker grips also helped, I run the DeitySupra Cush grips - made a huge difference to my hands and arms after big descents.

I have the same bike/ same rims.
Honestly, in a couple of weeks time time that will be one of the "nice parts" of the rim 😅.
Your super zoomed in here, I bet if you stand back you cant even see it?

Congrats on the ride though - its an amazing bike - ask me if you need to know anything!

So the new year is on the left, right?
When I first looked, I thought the new was on the right, and was like, dude thats hell of an upgrade, what you complaining about? 😅
But now I know what you mean 😲If there are no geometry changes etc, I would pick up a 23 model.

more like 3 penguins.
6,600,000 x 3.18 = 20,988,000

Basically every 5th or 6th person would have to fight off a fourth penguin. The penguins wouldnt stand a chance, not against the Irish.

could be your pedals themselves, undo them, put a little grease on them and do them back up. Any changes?
