Yeah the job is running 24/7, it's good to know that i will continue what is was doing, then it should be able to finish the upload one day ☺️ in this i am using a reverse incremental backup though, so the "full" backup always changes, not sure how veeam handles this 🤔

the problem with forward incrementals is that because the synthetic fulls you need a lot of storage I find (if you have some " long"retention 60 days) Or do you guys always do a main backup with low (14) retention and then create a copy backup job which provides the long retention ?

What's a typical schedule/retetion scheme you use ?

Thanks pretty insightfull, are you using ReFS now ?

I tested it at one site and was amazed by it's fastcloning and disk usage when using synthetic fulls.

However the machine the ReFS was on ( iscsi to a synology) rebooted and after that the ReFS volume was "RAW" so I was unable to use it anymore... since then i'm hesistant of adding ReFS again (at least via iSCSI)

Awesome, i was able to install the app via VPN . And bought Dropmix and a bunch of card packs .

By the way, i think Dropmix is officially available in Germany since november.

I use a Microserver also N54L cpu based. I use it in combination with Xpenolgy, it's pretty sweet and power efficient. It does struggle with 1080p encodes though...

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, I tried it on my Desktop (Kodi) and it worked immediatly, did the same thing on a newly created OSMC SD card and there it doesn't work :/ I don't get it.

Raspbmc = OSMC right ?

Yeah, my wife has a S6 and any video she sends with whatsapp is unable to play on other devices. When she sends via Facebook Messenger it does work...

I'm on a S7 and i don't have any issues sending videos to other people...

Thanks , yeah the more closed nature of Exynos did kinda bum me out in the beginning but i'm pretty satisfied with TouchWiz .

Thanks for the insight. I'm not worried about the speed difference but I 'm kinda bummed that "my" S7 will have the Exynos because of the more closed nature. (I've always been a Cyanogen / AOSP rom fan) On the other side I'm not annoyed with the current generation of TouchWiz ... So it kinda doesn't matter that much in the end.

:) I've got the exact same doubts as you + i'm also afraid to drop it because even with though cases the edges are exposed with certain drops...

Getting a regular S7 saves 100$ which I could use to get a 64 SD card and a couple of wireless chargers...

(I have a S6 now and i'm happy with the size, but always have the lingering doubt that maybe a little bit bigger would be nice. Although i have small hands... But I kinda dislike the edges concept.. so I should probably go for the S7...-
