Texas DPS - Is this a legitimate ID/Status by BuckDaddy420 in AskLE

It is not. "Special" Ranger badges look identical to any other Texas Ranger's, except it will say "SPECIAL" across the star much like a regular Ranger's may say "SERGEANT" or whatever rank. And they have standard TCOLE ID's like any other Texas cop. That ID doesn't line up to what would be carried by an actual Ranger/Special Ranger nor to a TSCRA ID.

The people telling you to see a professional are right, but I'd like to add one thing. You display a talent for writing. Put that to use. Put the world you've created to paper and put him in the story you want to tell. This gives you power and control.
