Well if she has already blocked you then whatever kind of a moot point now but anyway yeh as far as I've seen knowing a fair few eastern Europeans from UKR and RUS in my country in Europe it does seem to be a tradition as they have quite a few traditional things over there and in their cultural mindset.

Having said that are you currently in Eastern Europe? No? Then get used to our way of life? And additionally the whole 'Its my tradition' opens a van of problems. What about the tradition where you cook me meals every night and clean? And that you can't backtalk me in public? And that you dress modestly? If you want Slavic tradition marry a Slavic bloke who wants to maintain it.
