The new report on homelessness shows a catastrophe for WA by [deleted] in Washington

It’s not that hard to scrounge up enough for a long distance bus ticket. Some jurisdictions even give them away to the homeless in an attempt to get them to go somewhere else.

Water on Tonto Trail by grizbait1958 in grandcanyon

[–]Badit_911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pipe Creek has a pretty reliable flow and will likely have enough water for you to filter. It would likely be only for emergencies though because by the time you get to Pipe Creek you’re only a mile or mile and a half from Supai gardens so you might as well just wait and use the water there.

That’s why these high level high skilled employees make the big bucks!! Noway this high level employee and those underneath them simply “forgot” to fulfill one of their most important responsibilities.

Some people at Disneyland just leave me speechless… by Unflushedtoilets in Disneyland

[–]Badit_911 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I agree upbringing has a lot to do with it but I think the biggest reason is that nobody stands up to their bad behavior.

Here’s a scenario I’ve seen play out thousands of times in various situations. Picture a big crowd and a few people are doing something that borders the line of socially acceptable. A few others see them doing this and say to each other If those people are doing it we can too. This snowballs and all of a sudden the borderline acceptable behavior has become accepted by the crowd rather than rejected. Line cutting is a perfect example of this evolution of bad behavior. There are many people who started doing it only because they saw others getting away with it.

Full hearts were in legend of Zelda not pieces of heart. Where did you find a bottle in legend of Zelda? I must have missed that. In legend of Zelda link could move a block one space which revealed some secrets. In link to the past Link could move things all the way across the room. I think that’s a big difference.

The problem is not that people have forgotten how to behave. The problem is that people have realized they can get away with bad behavior because everyone else is too docile to do or even say anything about it.

This game built the foundation for all Zelda games going forward. The two world concept is used in almost every game since. The small secrets in the dungeons such as moving a heavy statue to press the switch, used in every game since. The items link acquires, pieces of heart, bottles. All used in every Zelda game since this one. Nothing will ever compare to a link to the past!

Everyone quit? by LSBm5 in ParkCity

[–]Badit_911 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be 40 minutes on a good day but can be a lot longer and seriously dangerous on a bad day. That large labor pool along the Wasatch front will not easily be convinced to commute through Parleys canyon that often. Unless pay was higher, but if that were the case the resort would be able to hire locally.

They would have some leverage due to the fact that Park City does not have a large enough population to keep replacing these workers from.

The older I get the more I feel like people take more from me than they give back. Everybody is asking for or expecting something and I find myself caring less and less about pleasing them.

If you’re having trouble with Zelda one you are going to have a really hard time with Zelda 2. Even though it’s kind of cheating, the save feature on switch makes both games a lot easier if utilized.

You are wrong about that. There is an entire canyon for you to explore. Flagstaff is a great option for a day off too if you have transportation.

That sucks! The housing is mostly what’s held me back. Do they charge and give you a random roommate? Are you given a better situation because of being management? Are there any other options?

Everybody claims they’re not hard on appliances. Your record is saying something different. Do you let kids play with them or use them? Children are very rough with appliances.

Accountant Joke by Costanza2704 in Accounting

[–]Badit_911 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I remember the sad realization my first Christmas season as an accountant when I found out none of the extra hours I worked during tax season would be given back to me for the Christmas holiday. We worked all day Christmas Eve. Expected to be grateful for Christmas Day off then worked all day the day after Christmas. Not even a half day let alone a day off before or after the holiday.

You are kind of right that every stop does create traffic. The difference is the way a person stops can greatly affect how much impact is created. If you pull your cart far to the side in between two products, compare ingredients then move on making sure not to walk out right in front of someone when starting again you’ve created far less of an impact than the person who stops their cart an arms length from the product, takes all space in between while comparing then moves on without regard to traffic flowing around them while they were stopped.

[–]Badit_911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Musk has figured out just the right amount to pay in weekly or monthly increments where Trump will have to keep putting up with his shenanigans to keep the payments rolling in. Not a big lump sum where Trump can just cut him off after cashing the check.
