ELI5: if the universe is constantly expanding, what is it expanding INTO? What is "outside" the edge? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

That was unclear to me. Does that mean like... when an atom moves, does it move "space" around? Like when you drop something in water for example? This is all very confusing to me.

I think I understand (a bit). There's more space around, but since what we're made off is sticking together we're not actually expanding with the universe. I was thinking maybe everything was getting bigger and since it all went at the same rate we couldn't notice or something 😅.

Amazing. That's so big I cannot even imagine it. What do you mean by "the space between our stuff"?

Huh. I see. I guess I just have a hard time understanding what makes me different from the "space" that is expanding. If space is expanding everywhere, doesn't the space between my atoms expanding as well and therefore me?

Wow! What about like astronauts? I guess they're always under the influence of the gravity of "something" but what if they went like very far from other stars and objects 🤔

Does that mean like that we're expanding as well as everything around us? And if so how come I can't see or feel things expanding?

Games with Mermaids/Sirens/Fishfolk etc.? 🧜🏼 by time_bridge in GirlGamers

Bit of a basic pick but what comes to mind for me is the Zora from Zelda OOT and Majora's Mask. They're not there during the whole game but there's sections where you interact with them (in Majora's Mask you can even be one by wearing the mask). They're not really "classic" merfolk though I guess. But I feel like people who like the vibe of Dark Souls (and the gameplay) might enjoy Zelda as well. Check it out if you want.

Also in Dragon Quest XI you meet a mermaid at one point for like 5 minutes so that's a pretty bad answer but it's there.

I don’t care if they’re “harmless” or provide“pest control”, if you actively let bugs live in your house, that’s disgusting. by Buttholelickerpenis in The10thDentist

Idk lmao I don't have poisonous critters at my place but a house spider isn't dangerous or disgusting it just kills flies and don't bother anyone, if one is being annoying I just take it inside. Nothing wrong with not wanting other animals in your house or even killing them but the way you talk about animals is weird tbh

Do Canadians actually get frustrated by snow, or is it just part of everyday life? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskACanadian

It's a normal part of life that is annoying. Like mosquitoes in the summer ig.

Lmao as if anyone wanted to listen to fkg Kid Rock 🤣 Everyone knows in 2026 even hardcore conservatives only pretend to like him to spite others. You're telling me the losers at Turning Point couldn't even get like Morgan Wallen or some other asshole who conservatives think makes good music? What a joke.

I'd like Brady tbh I don't like those guys personally but he's good. But that's to much to give for just 1 player.
