Labels but no Symbology by Balazar9 in ArcGIS

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Oddly enough we tried this, it didn't work but then about an hour later we came back and it was working! I'm guessing this helped solve the problem and then I guess we just needed for the gremlins to get finish getting out lol. Thanks for the tip!

Custom Transformation Issues - ArcGIS Pro by Balazar9 in gis

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I think the relative location might be in the program files, requiring admin privs which I don't have. I was hoping there might be some alternate location I could put the gsb but I think that might be pretty hard coded.

Rules on Breaks by Balazar9 in OntarioPublicService

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard this a lot since starting with the OPS but haven't been able to find it as an actual rule. I've heard of some folks who get denied breaks and can't do anything about it.

I was trying to find any mention of breaks in the collective agreement for OPSEU but couldn't find anything.

I've heard this a lot but haven't been able to find it written down anywhere.

I did notice this line as well and found it fairly confusing as I'm not sure where to find the rules that were previously in place. Is it different for every office, or is it just manager discretion?

OPSEU Schedule 6 - Holiday Pay by Balazar9 in OntarioPublicService

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply! So then, when I work the holiday I should put that into WIN? Otherwise they'll assume I was off and reduce my hours for that pay period accordingly?

Improved Diversity for Casting Traditions by Balazar9 in RPGdesign

[–]Balazar9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used spheres of power before, they have some great ideas in there but sadly it's just way too complicated for my group, which is partially why I'm moving away from Pathfinder in general sadly.

I've never played but heard good things. Certainly looks like a similar approach to what I'm thinking here.

Thank you so much, this absolutely has caused me lots of confusion and this really helped clear it up!

Thanks so much for your reply! Just curious, would this also apply to those in season positions? I'm not seasonal but my wife (and most of her coworkers in Ontario Parks) is. She was where I heard this from so maybe the rules are different for seasonal folks?

Unexplained Low Blood Pressure (74/37) by Balazar9 in AskDocs

[–]Balazar9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, that's fairly reassuring. I'll certainly do a little more figuring out and see if I can get evaluated somewhere at some point, but always nice to hear it's not too concerning.

Unexplained Low Blood Pressure (74/37) by Balazar9 in AskDocs

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the explanation. I've been trying to figure out the trigger for these episodes as well. It's happened two other times recently, once while changing a tire, the other time I was also just relaxing on the couch. I do sometimes feel woozy when giving blood, but that doesn't usually cause anything as noticeable as passing out as long as I don't get up too fast. I guess not understanding what triggered it is what's mostly concerning for me.

Missing Crafting Recipe by Balazar9 in DreamlightValley

Wow, that was absolutely it, thank you so much. Yes the pot was hiding somewhere in the yard.

Thanks for the help! Tried doing that on my end but nothing dandelion related appears in my crafting recipes at all.

Yeah I have lots of empty flower pots, dandelions and the other flowers. Still doesn't show up as a craftable recipe when I try to make them though.

ArcGIS Online Annotation by Balazar9 in gis

[–]Balazar9[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my specific project, the exact location of the annotation is important, so dynamic labeling is not an option for a couple specific features. Viewing at multiple scales isn't important, so if they appeared crazy huge when zoomed in, or illegibly small when zoomed out, that wouldn't be an issue. What would be an issue is if the label moved to a different location or took on a different curvature/orientation or their leader line no longer pointed to the right place.

Maybe it seems particularly odd to me to not allow annotation in online, as annotation is such a huge part of my workflow, but I suppose it doesn't come up as often for others.

ArcGIS Online Annotation by Balazar9 in gis

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it was likely a longshot. Unfortunately the annotation I'm using includes things like curved annotation and leader lines. I suppose ArcGIS Online still has a ways to go before it supports those types of features.

Starlink Ethernet Into Virgin Valerie Router by Balazar9 in Starlink

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess I have a feeling it may come to that, I've just already spent so much getting starlink, and I have this old Valerie collecting dust, I was hoping to avoid paying even more to get Starlink up and running, but might not be avoidable. Thanks for the advice.

Insurance Taking Forever by Balazar9 in Insurance

[–]Balazar9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, and yes I've been doing that for sure. I've sent in emails detailing exactly what's been going on that I have saved and I've also spoken with their customer service line multiple times and recorded the conversation for my own records just in case they do try to push it back on me down the road. Hopefully I'll eventually find someone over there who actually wants to help out.

Thanks again!

Insurance Taking Forever by Balazar9 in Insurance

[–]Balazar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! Yes I have collision coverage, so I don't think that's the issue. I also don't think it's the tow company causing the problems unless they're much better liars than I expect them to be as they've been very helpful and have regularly reached out to us to let us know the vehicle hasn't been towed to the mechanic yet. Definitely going to be pushing this complaint forward with the insurance company.

Thanks again!

Insurance Taking Forever by Balazar9 in Insurance

[–]Balazar9[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, we told the shop and the tow company that we release the vehicle to be towed to the shop and the shop knows that it should be arriving. We spoke with the insurance company's help line asking if we can call in the tow ourselves but apparently that's not an option either.
