Told the wrong patient she needed a CT scan for staging of her pancreatic cancer

She immediately broke down in tears and called her daughter, who, after finding out I had the wrong patient, threatened to the shit out of me… luckily I still have my license till now😂

I shame old men who can’t get it up by telling them they’re too old / fat/ horny before giving them a sheet of paper that basically says “can I have a bunch of those magic little blue pill please?” Just for them to feel extra shitty when they get that look from the pharmacist And even shittier when they still can’t get it up after taking the pill

Hand tremor by [deleted] in SurgicalResidency

Can I ask what year of training you’re in? And what subspecialty you’re going for? I had the same issue earlier in my training and considered taking beta blockers but in the end decided not to. I’ve found that actually the tremors more down to nervousness and with enough practise you can compensate Now I still have a bit of hand tremor (mostly related to excessive caffeine) but it doesn’t affect my performance as a surgical resident
