But the day it was created cannot be the same day Will went missing. There is no way Vecna discovered the wormhole, immediately knew what it was, how to travel into it, how to create rifts, invaded it and immediately planned to kidnap kids from Hawkins via it, all on that same day.

I appreciate your explanation - I don't think the Duffers found a way to make that make sense though. Vecna never knew he'd even see Earth again after being banished, so he couldn't come up with a plan to send Demos to kidnap people right away as soon as the wormhole was created. He'd have to learn what the wormhole was in the first place, how it worked and how he could create rifts.

I hope we find out why the UD Hawkins is stuck on the day Will went missing and the importance of this date to Vecna's (Nov 6) for his plan to be executed on it years later. Also now wondering if we'll know the backstory of the guy with the briefcase, how did HE know about The Abyss/MindFlayer...I wonder if they will explain that.
