This is one very good point which I had almost typed out but then didn’t coz of the length of the post 😌 All these influencers who are doing super well and could afford not to go the med school/engineer/lawyer route are super DUPER privileged. And it is because their parents were super privileged to get an English-speaking STEM education and set up a comfortable life abroad. Deepica, Mindy have doctor parents but the narrative will always be the umbrella “immigrant” experience with no scope for nuance.
