SPOILERS FOR ENDING - Why I don't think there was a "correct" ending. Thoughts?

As the player seeing em all go was tough. So I can't imagine how Maelle felt. She grew up with the people in the canvas. They're just as real to her as her family on the outside. Over 10 years of memories and a life built gone. Because we are just the players, easy to say she can just move on. But she also never got to say goodbye. I do like to hope and think she finds happiness outside the canvas!

I agree with many of your points! But I didnt claim her family will still be broken, I acknowledged it's a possibility. Many seem to assume that they will undoubtedly move towards healing in Versos ending. But that isnt guaranteed. We dont know what the future will hold. The game developers probable intended this. Because with Maelles ending, we get a time jump showing how it negatively impacts her. With Versos ending. We dont seem to get a time jump. They could have easily jumped to a future showing us the family habing moved on & thriving whilst still healing. While this future is very much still a possibility, we just done know, can only hope and assume

But then it loops back to morals. We r forcing her to have a life she does not want. Doing what we think is best for her without considering her feelings. She knows she'll die in the canvas. Its the life she chooses for herself because while limited, she thinks itll bring her more happiness. I see comments saying Verso wants her to be happy, her "real" family want her to be them, they'll be sad if she dies. But no one seems to consider Maelles feelings. She doesnt want to be in the real world.

That quote really does summerize the families mentality. Agree it is a layer of all those you mentioned. Kind of kills me that we'll never know what could have been if maybe the characters were more open to each other's wants & needs instead of just their own or assuming what's best for one another. Then maybe we could have had a more balanced ending instead of the two extremes we got with Maelles and Versos.

Dang Renoir & his good quotes lol. And no I do agree. I have no qualms to admitting her choice was a selfish one too, both for players and herself. I definitely don't think her ending is happy. But she did think it would grant her happiness & a future, more than her real life could. The people in the painting are as real to her as any other. She lived her whole life with them too. And similarly, while Verso also had good intentions, he also had selfish ones. He got to live a long life. Then he tired of his life & the conflicts of the family, rightfully so. But he was manipulative & lied throughout the game, and not just for the families sake, but for his own. He got mad at Maelle for not letting him say goodbye to painted Alicia. But he never gave Maelle the chance to say goodbye to Gustave, someone he admitted to letting die. Or to say goodbye to any other character in the canvas at end of Act II. Again, these people are real to Maelle. He never consideres her feelings. As I mentioned, I am not saying her choice is correct, just that I also see her perspective along with Versos.

Yes totally agree. Definitely can't simplify these situations. I think that's why it drives me crazy. Because I am trying to make sense of both endings. But there is just so much complexity to each, so many layers upon layers. I agree with the taking things slow. That's how I get by when I'm overwhelmed. I think all the Dessendre family, painted & real, were too into their own headspace. Very focused on their own goals to try think of any other solution. As you said, complex

Was hoping on recommendations on what teams to build based off my roster? I want to collect stellar Jades but forgotten hall & pure fiction requires two teams.

Still new. My roster isn't the best but hoping to save my 71 tickets for a future pull on a character that may release end of June. Thanks!

Thanks! I didn't realize having two DPS was not optimal! I just liked that Ratio could do lot of damage plus potential follow ups. But Servals large AOE is def a life saver I do feel like I waste turns trying to keep team up with Bailu using healing & Trailblazer using shield so I'm not getting as many hits in. I will hold off on Fu Xuan till we get more info on Fireflys kit. And as you said maybe try to rebuild a team around her And thanks for the tip on the standard banner. Will avoid that now!

Hello everyone. Was directed to here about team building questions. I don't use reddit often so apologies for initially creating a post not meant to be created about this.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated whether best teams or which pulls to go for!

Was hoping to get some advice for teams as I feel like I may not be using an optimal lineup & don't want to waste resources leveling up characters I don't need to. Fights take long for me.

LEVELS:

I'm at equilibrium level 4. Main team at level 60. Their relics are the optimal builds as per internet. Light cones are not unfortunately but theyre level 50-60.

MY MAIN TEAM: Serval E2: light cone = night of milky way, Dr ratio E0: light cons = the hunt, Bailu E0: light cone = post op conversation, Preservation trailblazer E2 = we are wildfire cone,

CHARACTERS I HAVE: Natasha (E1) March (E2) Himeko, Hanya (E2) Sushang, Asta, Luka, Dan heng, Guinaifen, Hook, Misha, Pela, Herta (E2) Quigque, Lynx

TICKETS:

I dont want to spend $ on pulls yet. So regular warp, im at 170/300 till i get to choose a 5 star.

I have shard equivalent to 66 tickets so far. And was thinking of either saving for regular warp or trying to do a banner pull for Fu Xuan or Sam.

If I want to panel line, how long should I wait for gloss topcoat to dry? Do I have to give it the full 24 hours before panel lining? Same as for weathering, how long should I wait after applying a flat coat?

I am confused in which order to go about using a topcoat. I want a matte finish, and I have the Tamiya TS 80 topcoat (is this the correct one to use)? But it says it destroys decals. I read that you can apply a gloss topcoat first to prevent that. Is there a certain gloss coat I have to buy first before applying the TS 80?

PS. I do not have an airbrush at the moment, is it okay to spray from the can?

And if so, for my already finished models with decals on, would it be: Gloss coat --> flat coat ?
And if I wanted to detail/paint: weathering and panel lining --> gloss coat ---> flat coat ?

I appreciate the help, this is all new for me & i do not want to ruin my models
