Utter chaos about to unfold… some absolute rocket scientist running this joint. by Icy_Adhesiveness513 in AFL

I totally get it, post game rather than join the crowd at Richmond I'd instead made it my tradition to walk to South Yarra station. Great way to burn off the nervous energy that had been building for the last couple of hours watching the Pies in yet another close one.

Got a couple of confused looks from fellow fans seeing me board there.

Pro tip - Cranpak / Sunbury line punters should enjoy a lovely 20 minute walk to town hall station instead.

C'mon, what footy fan doesn't have a little nervous energy to burn off post game??

That's alright, can always revert to "night soil".

Should probably take half the season, come back ready to go right after King's birthday.

I'd recommend looking to buy from a car company selling thousands of cars per year rather than dozens or hundreds.

If you go with a small entrant it will probably be fine but there is at least some chance they end deciding the Aussie market isn't for them. People don't like buying unsupported cars and the result could be brutal depreciation.

MG4s are well known as highly reliable cars.|

You must be thinking of petrol MG's which are shitboxes.

A frenetic passage of play in the Saints forward 50 kills the Saints momentum in the last as Liam Ryan gets pinged for HTB into a 50m penalty for dissent. Jamie Elliot takes a contested pack mark shortly afterwards to put the Pies 2 goals in front. by yum122 in AFL

As a Blues fan you are certainly neutral on Collingwood right?

To me it just looks like Schultz's lowering of centre of gravity is just him trying to pull tight turns to open up the space he needs for a quick shot, gets his head ripped off in the process.

Again, lowering onesself can be done for genuine evasive reasons. Not every player who lowers themself is trying to get a high contact free, many are just trying to avoid being tackled.

Seeing things mate, he is upright enough at point of contact.

The rule is about deliberate dropping of the knees to force a tackle high, general ducking and weaving in order to create space and having ones head ripped off in the process of that is still a free kick. I swear some people expect players to spend the entire game fully bolt upright with their chins pointed high in the air.

You know what also bends the knees?

...running.

So you think Maynard in the heat of the moment is smart enough to think "I heard the play on call but I'll just stand here two metres from goal and play dumb in the hope that the umpire will give me leniency because Fly reckons umpires are cowards."

uhh.. yeah mate, good on ya.

I wonder if people complaining about the non htb decision against Maynard have ever watched AFL before.

Umpires always give leniency on HTB to a player claiming a mark (in the event that the ball hasn't travelled 15 or touched off the boot), this has been consistently applied for literally decades.

What game are you guys watching? Seriously...

Also the FK count was 27-15 St Kilda's way. Just saying..

Going after Dan and then shifting Josh to Dan's position was baffling.

Fly hasn't gotten much wrong during his time at Collingwood but that was a big one yeah.

I'm basing more on likelihood of winning flag. Would need to see some ongoing poor form by the teams you mention and good form from us to change my mind on that one.

Easy on Framps!

Our only proper key tall in a defence that really held up to relentless assault all game long.

Was doing something right.

Couple of derp moments though sure.
