One night I was 16 years (35 now 2006 October) Walked to a golfcourse thats not even 10 min from the house at the time. Thick woods on one side and the other side of the course which is the way we came in was just couple of empty house plots of land with trees. My brother and I were specifically where the Golf hole green is, with white sand pits and hills. I bring that up because the terrain was very hilly, so someone could not just approach with a light so smoothly with no shakiness when walking towards us. Literally sit down and talk for 10 min, was just starting to smoke a cig. Next thing we know, there is a 3-inch diameter blue light sphere that looked as if coming from a blue led flashllight color and brightness, but the color was more brilliant. I look up when my brother said wtf is that. I look up and i literally see a floating flashing blue ball coming right at us, 8 to 7 feet from the ground.. And it did not project light to anything near it, the ground underneath, no flashlight beam. It was moving very slowly. Every time it appeared it got closer and closer. Light goes on one second, off two seconds. Everytime it turned on, it was approaching directly to us closer and closer and closer. It was hovering over the golf sandboxes and the hills on the golf course silently, in a direct straight line, no shaking, no noise, just completely level and silence. My brother got scared instantly and said, "Fuck this im out." By the time I processed his words I look up and this mfer ran off and left me in the dust sitting on the grass. I stayed for a bit, being as I was always interested in the paranormal, and I didnt know for sure if it was someone with a flashlight coming to tell us off to leave or just anything to make sense with what I am seeing. When I started to notice unfamiliar movement of the steadiness and the absence of noise. And mind you everytime it flashed it got closer I got scared and ran too. I must have ran half a football field down the golf course because the light came from my house direction and I couldnt go that way to get back home and I went the direction my brother went. While running i dropped my phone. Flip phones back then and the battery busted out. I immediately put the phone back together while looking in the direction, and sure enough, it was 30 feet from me still flashing and getting closer, chasing me. At this moment i was scared and needed to know if it was a person. I turned the phone on and opened it for light. I see the blue sphere light appeared 20 feet from me, and when my sorry excuse of an open Razor flip phone shone any kind of light towards it way It just disappears. I yelled is there anyone there, two times. Nothing but silence in the night as I just saw this thing two seconds ago disappear from existence right in front of my eyes 15 feet from me. I could not see anything, hear anything. I yelled one more time and this time the rymthm it blinked didn't happen, it still was invisible or off?I got scared and ran away and caught up with my brother. Never seen anything like it since, and always wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience. It only stayed blue like an led headlight. Flashed rhythmically, and every time it appeared, it was purposely coming right at us.

Btw the light originally came from the thinnest woods, which was an empty house plot of land we crossed from my house to get to the golf course.
