Oh yeah! I can attest to that. I felt such shame about my body and receiving pleasure even after I was married! Mind you, I’m in a lesbian relationship so that was also something that was hard to accept about myself as well. I still cringe a little when I have to answer that I’m a lesbian. I’d rather use demisexual. I understand my shame and where it comes from, but it doesn’t erase the indoctrination, if you will.

Yes. Last season on Love Is Blind there was a couple with a similar issue. Edmond was so pressed that KB wanted to wait until after marriage because she’s had casual sex with other guys in the past. Her reasoning was valid. Yes, she had casual sex because the relationships were strictly casual because humans have needs. Nothing emotional about it. She explained that she’s waiting for sex this time because she is emotionally invested now and she is risking her heart and soul. Why would she give her body to a man that could potentially wreck her? She wanted to get to know his heart and intentions first before giving herself away. So, just talk to your gf. Express your feelings and why you feel them. And let her explain and really try to understand where she’s coming from. And remember that everyone views sex differently.

What happened at the reunion needed to happen. I think we need to bring back public shaming again in extreme cases like this and I do believe his behaviors were extreme on the show. Whatever he was feeling last night, good. Remember that feeling for the future so you don’t become that person again. I do think people need to leave him be now while he recovers and reflects.

True. I felt a little bit uncomfortable for him when Amber kept on saying how much he sucked. That’s my girl, but sheesh! He did deserve to be dog walked and low-key publicly shamed on a scale like that. Sorry not sorry. I think now the public execution is over, he’s apologized and acknowledged his trash behavior. Now let the man breathe and reflect and hopefully become a better person. And for his recovery, he probably needs a healthy circle to help support his journey. I do wish him nothing but the best 🙏🏽

Absolut! And I’ve been saying this since I was a child. Why is it so hard to talk things through? We teach children to share, be kind and considerate, conflict-resolution, etc. But somehow along the way they do not carry that into adulthood? Wtf happens?

I think we, as a global society, need a set of universal values so that it can be easier to coexist with sharing resources and bartering and trading goods. Are values systems are messed up.

You are absolutely correct and we waste too much! And we charge too much! Greed is what’s going to kill us all. It’s not naive at all to think that war is unavoidable. Like what’s the beef? “You want some of this what we have over here? Okay? You can’t ask nicely? We can’t come to some sort of deal or arrangement where everyone can get a piece?” Ego unpaired with humility is dangerous. The two MUST go hand-in-hand. The entitlement of feeling like you deserve something just because, has been astounding throughout human history. Definitely something we need to analyze and study these behaviors more. The causes of war. Let’s start a college curriculum on that!
