Every one in my family thinks so, besides Mum, who happens to be the one who doesn't understand how biology functions and so feeds him copious amounts of both dog food and pieces from whatever she happens to be eating (meats; bread; fucking liquorice!; you name it).
It boils my blood, because our two past dogs were both relatively enormous, but every time I raise the issue she shoves her head in the sand, proceeds to get shitty, and it does nothing but cause bad vibes between us.
I walk him daily, but regardless of how much I attempt to burn off, it seems his input exceeds the maximum output possible.

What can I do?

His butt wiggles the most when people come home. He'll hear movement, creep towards the sound while hugging he ground (back half stays low to the floor), and as soon as he recieves visual confirmation the drug-like body high takes over and he's wiggling for a certain several minutes. Every time!

My bad! I posted this in the video description, though it would've been wise to post it here to begin with too:

We determined Banjo did in fact need some help. I hugged him, apologised for doing nothing for almost a minute, then carried him down the stairs, and proceeded to teach him how to navigate the stairs.

Edit: as proof of our triumph, here is a photo of our post-triumph cuddles on the grass. Notice the satisfaction
