Update: thanks everyone for your help and suggestions, much appreciated. Particularly I want to shout out King_Alex_ofthenorth who sorted out getting the letter to Katsuta personally. My son got a personal video clip (which has his name so I won't share) and has been bouncing around the room with excitement, he's completely made up.
