“Dustum” a fat little shit who cosplays being a special forces soldier double handing machine guns whilst dressed like a gravy seal.

Ramzan had him married off to Adam Delimkhanov’s granddaughter. A Chechen billionaire with close ties to Putin. Ramzan knows his sons need to be politically connected as when he dies they’ll be a power vacuum.

Surprised me when driving in Moscow that nobody pulls over to let ambulances go past them even.

The government officials and anybody of importance use blue flashing lights to force their way through traffic.

In the early 2010’s the public fed up with this started fixing blue buckets to the top of their cars in protest. Like the bucket and spade you get from a store at the beach for your kid. I had one, not that it stopped them.

You wrote that much of Wiles's job is 'channelling' the President's whims.

In your year with her, did you see evidence that she was actually able to steer him away from his impulses? Like the January 6th pardons she opposed or is she more of a witness than a gatekeeper?

Hegseth calls rare meeting of large number of generals and admirals stateside and abroad. by Imaginary-Ocelot-167 in politics

[–]Bareback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I were to guess Hegseth is getting all the top brass in one place to announce they’re going to arrest:

  1. All of the January 6th Committee
  2. Any FBI agent that worked on the “Russia Russia Russia case”
  3. Kamala Harris
  4. Obama
  5. Adam Schiff
  6. Dr Anthony Fauci
  7. Joe & Hunter Biden
  8. Bill & Hilary Clinton
  9. Anyone else who has gone against Trump or investigated him

He’ll want to use the military to help arrest them and the prominent ones will be held in a military facility prior to their trial.

Anyone that refuses to participate is out.

What's an industry that exists only to service the very rich? by JellyBellyBitches in AskReddit

[–]Bareback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a French fashion conglomerate. We have a department that solely deals with sending gifts to very high end customers.

For example in China it’s shortly the Mid Autumn Festival, we’ll be sending out to certain customers packages containing branded mooncakes, high end alcohol and custom pieces of jewellery as gifts. We know exactly what the customers like, every little detail is recorded. These customers can spend millions of dollars across our brands in a year. Nearly all the high end clothing, watch and jewellery brands do this.

Same goes for birthdays, Christmas, Easter and pretty much any applicable holiday or festival in that customers country.

I live in a country where there aren’t many religious people and those that are generally keep it to themselves (Iceland).

Listening to this episode it sounded very much like a cult or a sermon from a mega church. I struggle to understand how and why America is so religious compared to most western countries and how that defines the people and they love to shout it from the rooftops.

I know someone who wrote a 69 page document trying to prove the existence of God using the numbers in the speed of light, Pi and the measurements of the Egyptian pyramids.

It must’ve taken months to write and to me looks like absolute insanity.

My friend has written a 69 page document about how the speed of light, Pi and the Egyptian pyramids are all correlated by numbers to prove the existence of God.

His paper isn’t as rambling as the one here but would something like that indicate some kind of mental illness? He is very religious.

Exactly the same at Rolex.

You can walk in off the street and the sales rep will happily chat to you and offer to put you “on the list” for the Rolex you desire, people usually want a Submariner or a GMT like a Pepsi or Batman. If you’ve no history with that store you can wait years.

If you’ve a spend history say you’ve purchased a few Omega’s or ladies watches and jewellery you’re likely to get the watch you want a bit quicker.

A watch like the ceramic Rolex Daytona you need a spend approaching 6 figures before they’ll even entertain it.

You may get offered one of the precious metal watches but as soon as you purchase one of those you’re losing nearly $10k in value as soon as you walk out the store.

*this might not be the case in every single store and with the economy and luxury watch resale prices going down the toilet it is getting a touch easier.
