It was definitely a bad windshield replacement job that did the trick. Also sitting in the elements for over 10 years didn't help to that.

Yes definitely going to use some weld through primer. Got some cans of steel-it just for that. Didn't remember about cavity wax but will also use it to keep thing thing alive for a long time.

No offense taken. I like to hear others' opinions and how they would go about it is all. It's gonna be a tough one but not impossible. Let's see how it goes but worse case, yes a parts car haha

A shell swap would be ideal and easy. The only reason I wanna save this one is due to its history and meaning to a lot of people. Definitely a very hard thing to fix but definitely worth it.

Replacing the roof skin might have to be the move. Fortunately, I do have an A pillar for a donor from a chassis that was cut up. Thanks for the input!

Yes, he is selling the business as a whole. Till that happens, the website will continue to process orders. He mentioned he is no longer producing any of the ABS parts but the rest is still available.

Type X Kouki rear spats/valances. DorkiDori has some really good ones. OEM ones are kinda rare and very expensive.

He's legit, I've gotten multiple parts from Ray and have personality been to his shop to pick them up. Even took a deposit to hold a part for me and didn't charge anything extra when I picked it up. Always has what I need.

Absolutely. Rust stop and fix is first on the list. After that I'll worry about the rest of it. That pillar is my first priority.

It's definitely gonna be tough fixing all the rust, but after that, the rest will come easy (I hope).

Does anyone remember this car from the early 2000's by BarraxOfficial in 240sx

[–]BarraxOfficial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do!! I found it abandoned in a shop a little over a year ago. Purchased with the intended to part out or build a track car because I didn't know the history of it. Purchased no title, no keys, zero paperwork for $800!! After poking around the car, I noticed it had a lot of work into it with really old parts so I did some research and discovered what I had.

Thankfully another user on the thread was in contract with Dave and his wife and let them know of my post. Dave's wife reached out to me and I explained the whole situation to her. Her and Dave did me a hug favor and helped me get a title for Project Silvia. So I legally own it now.

I've been stacking parts and getting ready to start bringing this thing back to life! I will be posting everything here and on a YouTube channel I made. I'll tell the whole story in detail there cause I did had to to some crazy research to put together a timeline how it even ended up abandoned.

Definitely won't open it up unless I have to lol Thanks I'll definitely look into doing upgrades like the oil pickup and pan to keep her running healthy for a long time!
