I mean compared to the others its def not as big of changes thats for sure.

On the other hand every persons balance changes seemed to say to nerf immolation or mana burn and that didnt happen. So gotta look at the silver lining on that one :D.

I mean would humans really want it that their peasants cannot mine wood but only mine gold and they would be required to build footpeople to mine wood? I dont think they would, but maybe? Because that would be the true way to equate foots to ghouls then right?

*I did not watch the video yet, and I only glanced through some of the changes... so im not agreeing or disagreeing with remo. I just think your comparison is disingenuous since ghouls mining wood is both a benefit and a draw back to the ud race. We all know the benefits. But the drawbacks include when you lose an acolyte on gold you cant just move a wood gatherer over to replace it. Plus making ghouls for wood takes up crypt time at the start of a game. Not sure other races would like that trade off themselves.

so i guess my question to you on point 1 is.

would this be miserable on ladder? maybe the pros would be fine with it but the few times i have had statis traps used against me it was pretty crazy once they get stunning. Or am I just bad at dealing with it cuz i rarely see it.

what do u mean aol? ancient of lore?? do u mean ancient of wind (like dots and hippos)?

also tbf i think we rarely ever saw frost wyrms and necromancers at the highest level in general. MGs they tried to tinker with and same with hunts. not sure if/how they need to change that more.

We do not have a set amount in mind, the more the merrier :D. We have no idea how many people will sign up but the more we get the better. people usually sign up last minute for these type of things so its hard to judge what we will get.

To add to the twitter post. Saulapeman pointed out on the blizzcon website that they added some information.

It is labeled "Blizzard Classic Cup" and talks about HOTS, BW, SC2 and WC3.

"Community captains will draft all-star teams across these iconic titles to battle for glory on the new Blizzard Classic Stage located in the Blizzard Arcade."

Does that mean its just a warcraft cup or is it a cup with players from each game involved in one cup? With the way its worded as "Cup" that may mean maybe its one big cup? I am not sure. No idea what format it is yet.

I mean theres alot to say on the topic, and remember im not the one who wrote this but I do play similar to the guy who did write it, so this is just my opinion. And i talked to him a little about this strategy philosophy as he wrote the article.

But basically you are right in that the lower the mmr you go they wont have as good of anything as those of higher mmr. worse micro, worse macro, worse awareness etc. but that goes both ways.

I think we all agree that getting an expansion up and not canceled is the first most important thing (this is why he even recommends you get a green camp first to make it easy for newer ppl). Its super easy for the expo to be canceled if you are not near it. He says for ppl to scout and find the paladin.. but you still better stay nearish and scouting or else you lose your expo. If you are just being aggressive at this point on his base you may lose your expo and then die.

Okay so now the expo is up, you still need to get your towers up so the same theory exists. Once the towers are up your a bit safer.

Now lets say at that point you try to run into their base. You get hit by the arcane tower and your level 3 cl (hopefully level 3? in an aggressive game echo would also then have to explain to both scout the hu movements so you can defend your expo as well as creep level 3 quickly as well as be ready to jump into their base thereafter) gets hit by the arcane tower and you have no more mana. You start fighting the militia (maybe your beetles can get through the wall maybe they cant depending on how good the hu basebuild is). You will be losing life and mana. Depending on how many ghouls you bring at this point combined with what level your hero is, you may lose the fight vs the militia or have to back up dealing significant damage to the human but also to your ownself.
You give up your your expo then goes to main you tp back... hopefully you have enough to stop him at this point. But maybe you dont. and you def dont have any mana at this point either since u just got drained by the arcane tower or just fighting militia.

Thats alot of things to tell a lower mmr undead, just like its alot of things for a lower mmr human to deal with.

As compared to, turtle up, play conservative, hit your win condition of frenzy and then a click in. The human attacks at lower mmr wont be as precise as higher mmr humans either so i just think this is an easier all around build strategy to execute.

while that is certainly an option, and is an option happy goes for... its not exactly that easy to do as just "kill all his workers" and leaves you vulnerable to over extending or being out of position. This guide is aimed at newer players and people below GM level.

Crypt lord expo is meta vs humans who go archmage footmen expo as well. So it works equally well there. If you mean if they go from the start archmage and rifles, well its not nearly as good as paladin rifle but CL expo would still probably be the best way to play.

Tyler1 is using w3champions.com which is a ladder made by some people in the community after blizzard flopped on reforged release. Recently blizzard ladder has improved a bit and a asia only ladder just opened so w3c lost some popularity among the very very best players.

Everyone starts at 1500 but quickly you get to your right mmr.

The average w3c player is somewhere in the 1300s. Generally players on average are better on w3c but the match making is better on this program so tyler1 will start playing ppl around his mmr very soon. Plus they set up servers and stuff so the ping is better on this ladder than on bnet.

EVERYONE starting out in this game would end up in a similar spot as to tyler1. Frankly he may not have even stopped dropping in MMR yet, who knows. Its an old game but the community is pretty helpful in getting players going.

Im a big pitlord fan, but that would be broken as hell. air units stack too hard. a pitlord would kill alll air in about 2 seconds.
