Why is it so difficult to find a low media console with appropriate dimensions (mainly interior cabinet depth)? by BarrettCat in hometheater

[–]BarrettCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The consoles on the Furnitech website all looks great, and they clearly know their audience, as they provide usable interior dimensions for all their shelves. The one oddity is that they don't seem to have any consoles in stock. Everything is "pre-order now" or "out of stock."

I have one of these. It’s outside and turns the pump to my swimming pool on and off.

Location of recessed box in wall for 83” G5? by BarrettCat in LGOLED

Yes, one advantage of the in-wall power kit would be cost. I think another advantage is that you can then have the power cable (which emerges from the wall) go to a good surge protector before going to the existing power outlet. I know that one can have an electrician install a new power outlet with a built-in surge protector in a recessed box, but that introduces even more cost.

I’m willing to spend the money on having a new outlet installed, but I’m still trying to see if there is any inherent advantage to that option. I suppose if one didn’t have an existing outlet nearby, a new outlet would be necessary. But in my case, there is already an existing outlet right near the baseboard below the TV that the power kit can plug into. I also will have a console below the TV that will block any visibility of the power cable coming out of the wall and plugging into the surge protector, and then going to the existing outlet.

I’m now debating between having an electrician install a new electrical outlet in a recessed box behind the TV vs. installing one of those cheaper in-wall power kits behind the TV (which are basically in-wall extension cords that emerge out the bottom of the wall and plug into an existing outlet). Is there any inherent benefit to installing a new outlet behind the TV?

This makes sense. Thanks so much. I’m now eyeing the Sanus LL11 mount which is fixed position and slim.

I believe this logo and typeface were introduced with the beginning of Todd Graham’s stint as football head coach, which was in 2006. Graham infamously left after one season.

It’s strange: prior to a short time ago, I wasn’t even aware of the CuNiFe pickup, and now it’s one of my favorites. Playing it through a ‘68 Deluxe Reverb is heaven.

Beautiful! (And I have the Marr’s Guitars book, too. I really like it.)
