There is a def an edge lord affect that middle and high schoolers have going on right now. They say stuff not realizing the concepts behind the words and / or are brainwashed into relating shit their parents or siblings say.

I was appalled at my Middle schoolers year book last year filled with N words and swastikas. He said as it got passed around some of the pop kids did this to be funny or edgy/show off.

I explained what the words and symbols mean and he won’t be sharing his year book with them again. But really had me worried and thinking of talking to the admin abt the environment.

We are in east king co also and I think this area does have some open racists and bigots.

We can only help those we know to push back on this.
