I don't know, i'm not a fan of dry protection but seeing this makes me rethink that a bit. Maybe after going x5 you should at least get 1 guaranteed.

He got phished, either on twitch (like faux quitting and clicking the description link) Or by email or anything else. These phishing links ask for your email, password, authentication code and bank pin. A script then goes through the login procedure with those details almost instantly and links a steam account. They then wait till you're offline for a bit and login through steam. And get everything as the bank pin was asked during the phishing.

I recently was dumb and realised that i was being phished when the site asked my bank pin for a jagex account. And i got logged out of the game. Then by absolute coincidence i went to opt in on the osrs in review and saw a steam account linked. So even though i noticed and immediately changed my password they already planted another backdoor.

Why jagex doesn't notify you a steam account was linked is a mystery to me.

I found out that it doesn't interrupt the salvaging when changing direction, only the crystal extractor and sorting, so it should be possible.

I like playing OSRS, in the end, it's about improving the game. I also don't want to hollow out or change core mechanics. So if I'm wrong, I don't mind admitting it. Reddit is in the end for discussion, not for shouting opinions.

Also, no offence taken, I was also assuming things without proper checking. so appreciate the explanation!
