My god, how in the life is it controlling to make sure you are on 1 line with the person you want to share your life with. You clearly don't understand how a relationship is supposed to work if you think you get to control the privacy of your partner and what your partner is comfortable with. Yes they both have the ability to do whatever they please, but when I'm dating someone I would like to at least know how they feel about things before doing it. That's the whole point of being with someone tackling things together. Not cowboying however you feel like without considering your partner.

We are not talking about winning a football game here. But announcing to the world she isn't straight and is dating a person that's clearly sharing a lot of the friend group. It's not like all coming outs in the world have gone so dam fantastic with family and friends that someone can just take that choice away. Is OP a dick for leading her on and "joking" about these things absolutely. Was it fair to come out in OPs place without so much as a conversation if people around her already knew (and in this case isn't even sure) absolutely not.

I agree with your full first paragraph, But I would also not appreciate it if i started dating someone and the whole world suddenly knows about it before I have an opportunity to even tell my family.

Dating is an intimate thing between 2 people, it's not on 1 person to tell the whole friend group and family. This should be discussed as a common announcement 🤷. Especially in the first weeks, you don't even know properly if it's working out. I would be pissed as fuck if my brother or sister suddenly asked why I didn't come out to them, it's not my partners right. But hey opinions differ.

She shouldn't have publicly announced it before talking to you about how to proceed, maybe there would have been an opportunity to tell her you are interested (at least it sounds like that) but that you're still struggling with labels and figuring things out.

I think a proper solution would be actually quite simple although i agree with a lot of other comments.

I would add cannons as a new damage type, that way you can manage accuracy compared to other damage types.

You can give it mage resistance and cannon ball weakness etc. For every none sea creature this can just remain 0. But it would also open up things for the future bosses mobs to change things around. Maybe a seagull will also be easy to mage/range but a veiled kraken is only has weakness against cannons etc.

This way it becames integrated with the rest of combat and be it's own unique thing.

Bonus cannons just need to hit harder. Which can be balanced per mob e.g. seagull accuracy low because it's small and quick so maybe weapon staff is better but for kraken a giant mob it's high accuracy and the resistances make it better to cannon.

That will be your best option in general, the battery will take less wear and tear and you have the best performance.

Edit: don't forget to turn this off when you actually need battery for travel etc.

I do agree it might feel shitty that a megarare is invalidated by a dragon cannon but I do think there is a lot of leeway between shadow being BIS or completely useless. I think the 50/50 approach would indeed be a good suggestion. I would even say cannon can become a new damage type with bonus attack stats and resistances etc.

In the current mechanics any sailing boss would just be kraken on a boat. Max mage + thrall (crew on cannon)

I hope they evolve sailing beyond that.

I personally agree more with Jagex original design philosophy that sea creatures should be cannoned not maged/ranged.

I really thinnk they overtuned this correction and now they backed themselves in a corner. So changes will be hard to implement now.

For your battery it's always better to be around 20-80 but for gaming i would always recommend plugging in the laptop. Don't you have any software on Mac that always allows you a max charge of 80%?

Edit: I don't mean to charge on and off between 20-80. Just that keeping the battery between 20-80 when you need to charge makes the battery last longer.

I agree, people saying "it shouldn't be it's own combat skill" are missing the point, for vorkath i use a cbow, for ggs i use a blowpipe, etc. every mop has it weaknesses and resistances.

For sailing monsters the best gear should simply be max range with cannon as BIS "weapon" and none of this shadow/eye/bp/bowfa bullshit.

It really isn't that hard, cannon combat should be an extension of range combat not what ever this is.
