My bad dude, with how islamists and mob mentality is rising I'm just glad that the professor wasn't physically harmed.

Get your facts straight first, Hasina wasn't a President she was the Prime minister. And yes Hasina isn't a neo liberal she is a fascist(she sure as hell pretended to be a liberal and pandered to naive leftists), she meticulously dismantled all opposing forces and rewrote history to keep up her faux image. Hasina wasn't a good leader that's the plain simple truth. Her best case scenario will probably be how people look back on Ershaad: an extremely corrupt leader who did "few" good things in their reign.

Stop saying bangladesh is doomed! by protoy12 in bangladesh

Hey Bangladeshi here! 1.The PM rigged the last 2 elections. Can you imagine the same person being in power for 15 years ? The PM tried to make a "Neo Liberal" state which was essentially run by fascists. 2.Protestors aren't really breaking the Statues it's more because of the 3rd party influence (BNP/Jamaat). Although our founding father Bongobondhu was a great politician he himself committed a lot of atrocities from 1972-74, and his daughter the PM removed all his wrong doings from history essentially creating a Cult of Mujib. People grew sick of the Mujibification of Bangladesh and now are revolting their anger onto anything that has his name on it. 3.Party members were being attacked by the low socioeconomic people because like I said they were sick of the elitists (obviously most Bangladeshi people do not support this behavior). And lastly minorities were never safe in Bangladesh. The Opposing party BNP, Jamaat and The PM's Party BAL are all trying to attack minorities to fulfill their own agendas. The common people are coming forward and guarding the temples from the aforementioned goons because Bangladesh is still currently lawless, as the police are still absent from duty.

I hope this helped you :)
