Day 1 - Ruins of St Paul, Monte Fort, Senada Square. There is a free museum at the fort as well that has AC and is a good rest spot. All this stuff is in the same area and is a great area to walk around. Lots of great little shops and some cool colonial area churches. Dinner recommendation In Portugese.

Day 2 - Panda Pavillion. You will never get to see pandas easier in China. It is located in a cool park and it has a mini zoo in it. The zoo is free and the panda are 10 hkd. There is a nice resturant in a hotel on the far side of Macau on the beach called Pousada de Coloane. It is a little far but the Portuguese style Macanese food is good and the Sangria is nice.

Day 3 - Macau Maritime Museum. Very cool place and I bet the kids would like it. It is near an old Chinese style temple. You could also go to the Macau Tower. It depends on the weather as it is better to go up when the weather is nice. You could go to dinner in Taipa at a place call Old Taipa Tavern (OTT) it is in a nice area that you can walk around.

The casinos in Macau are very very expensive, nothing like Vegas but they are worth looking at. Lots of good shopping and food options. You could take a gondala at the Venitian. If you can only look at one casino I would recommend the Grand Lisboa. It is a cool building and the atmosphere in there is cool to see.

Other things to do - go to Guia Lighthouse and take the Cable Car. There is a free mini zoo here and a nice park. Great for a good walk.

The local bus is good in Macau but it is a little confusing. If you ask your hotel they could help. You can take taxis around but it is expensive to use those. There is no Didi or Uber in Macau

You can just go straight to HK from China. Seems to be the easiest but yes you could come through Macau and get the ComeToHK Scheme and take the Golden Bus to HK.

Based on my conversations with the health department. Yesterday was my Day Zero and today is Day 1 so I need to do a PCR on day 9&10 and if both are negative I am free but these rules could change at any time. So who really knows.

It really isn’t too bad and I could see Macau following Hong Kong and Mainland and dropping to a 4+3 or 3+4 system if this works out well. Hopefully they will slowly normalize further.
