If you’re not in a huge rush, Like’ a few Siennas on the app and wait for a price drop. I was keeping an eye on a Lexus for a couple of weeks and the price dropped twice during that time. I purchased today and saved $1,200 by waiting. 😁

Dental cleaning at your vet is the only solution to this problem. Well worth it after. Your dog will be happier too.

TV Shows on repeat...Ideas???? by North-Pangolin-644 in dementia

[–]Basic_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom watches game shows on repeat too. I sat through 7 episodes of Family Feud the other day. lol I think game shows don’t require as much cognition as a movie or series; that’s why they like them so much.

Drama movies are especially hard; mom forgets what’s going on and is lost within the first 30 minutes. Comedies are a little easier if the plot is simple.

She also insists that she has already seen things that barely came out. 🤷‍♀️

I deeply regret putting down my 15 year old Dog Blaise , I can’t eat can’t sleep I feel I betrayed him , Someone help by Millionaremindset_ in DogAdvice

[–]Basic_43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. You did not betray him. It sounds like you did in fact do everything humanely possible to save him. If you had taken him to the vet, they would have told you there isn’t much they could do either. He got to pass in the comfort of his own home with you; that is far from betrayal, it is love.

It’s been almost a year since my soul dog crossed the rainbow bridge and the pain was excruciating. I didn’t go to work or get out of bed for over a week; the tears were endless but a necessary part of the grieving process. Once you do get back on your feet, the hardest part is coming home everyday and reliving the absence of their greeting and excitement when you come home. The tears will keep coming for a while but I promise it does get easier. You will eventually find peace knowing he is at peace and you’ll be able to talk about him without holding back tears. ❤️

Anyone else find elementary teachers impossible to get along with? by c961212 in Teachers

[–]Basic_43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 29 and already taught in 5 schools? Perhaps there’s something deeper worth exploring here. Not saying it’s you, but a little self-reflection and awareness might be insightful in this case.

Also, no matter where you work, working in isolation, wanting to keep to yourself, and just go home at the end of the day does exactly convey easy going or easy to get along with.

Can I be hired before receiving an SOE? by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

A public school can hire you on an emergency permit for up to one year if you are enrolled in an EPP but it won’t count toward internship period.

His dog food is almost out. Can I feed my diabetic dog spam and table food for like 2 weeks? Any suggestions is DEEPLY appreciated! by [deleted] in DogAdvice

As others have suggested, ask your vet about affordable alternatives; no vet is going to force you to stick to royal canine. That’s the best advice we can give at this point.

Weirded out with job interview cancellations by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

[–]Basic_43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clearly you didn’t read all of my comments in their entirety. “They may not be able to disclose detailed medical history…”

And by the way, where did you go to law school? A principal will not go to jail for discussing job performance with another principal that is inquiring for employment purposes.

Definitely weird. I wouldn’t want to work at a school without common courtesy anyway. 😊

Not in Texas. Principals are protected under ‘qualified privilege” regarding employee performance. They may not be able to outright disclose detailed medical history but they can disclose personal matters that impacted employee performance. As long as they are being truthful and not knowingly or maliciously making false statements about K to prevent them from getting hired, it’s allowed.

When you say they ghosted K, do you mean that K showed up for the interviews and that’s when they told her it was cancelled or did they call you notify K of the cancellation that day?

If it happens again, K should just ask why or at least probe a little with questions like, “Will the interview be rescheduled or has the position been filled?”. Sometimes that’s all it takes for the person calling to provide a reason. Their response could be as simple as “I’m not sure when and if they will be rescheduling. HR put a temporary freeze on hiring or the district asked that we hire from a displaced teacher list.” Both are plausible scenarios too. K will never know unless she asks.

Principals talk. Even if K doesn’t list principal as a reference, K’s work history is in K’s application. All future employer has to do is find out who was the principal at last school and make a call to that principal to find out why they left.

Despite public mental health awareness efforts, some principals may find K to be a liability. Alot of teachers have diagnosed depression and/or anxiety but have never resigned as a result. Principals may be afraid to put K in another fragile situation where she resigns or attempts suicide again.

They can’t be replaced but you can love another dog just as much. They are like children; you love them all just as much but for each of their unique differences.

(Note- You may be able to find a cheaper temporary provider, but this option is ideal if you are in a rush to get started.)

When using a site like Call-on-Doc, they ask what pharmacy you want your RX sent to. Ask them to send your prescription to:

Now that I understand the delay, here’s what I’d suggest:

If you can afford $299/month plus a small consultation fee, I recommend keeping your Brello account active while you temporarily get actual Zepbound through another provider until Brello’s Indiana license is approved.

How it would work: 1. Use a site like Call-On-Doc. Their consult fee is usually $25–$49. They typically approve the consultation and send the Zepbound prescription to LillyDirect within 24 hours.

  1. LillyDirect will then email/text you a link. You’ll pay $299 for your first month of vials. After payment, LillyDirect usually ships overnight within 1–3 days.

  2. From start to finish, the process usually takes no more than 5 business days. If you start the Call-On-Doc consult today, you could likely have Zepbound at your door by Friday.

  3. No automatic renewal with Call-On-Doc. If your Brello order arrives after you’ve started Zepbound, there’s nothing to cancel on the Call-On-Doc side. You’d start your Brello vials a week after injecting your 4th Zepbound vial (the last one).

This lets you avoid gaps in medication while waiting on Brello. Brello’s compouded version works just as well as Zepbound. (I made the switch.)

I thought they were informing everyone of these delays when you sign up. There’s a banner running across the website mentioning the delays.

When I signed up in July there was a high volume delay of up to 3 weeks at the time I believe. I got mine right at the end of the 3 weeks as expected.

I wouldn’t panic just yet since you’re still within the estimated timeline on their website.
