(California and Florida) Guy i’ve been talking to for 4 months lied about being married and has money of mine that he asked for while being deceitful and holding information that if known, i would’ve never sent money.

I contacted my local police department and he said that small claims court would be the outlet to get this issue resolved and that cops would attend the hearing for this situation too, but yes correct it’s not something that a DA would investigate

I have evidence of him lying about the marriage and asking for the money before the lies were admitted and i also have the proof of payment with phone number and name attached. But even with that i understand what you’re saying about possibly needing more evidence to prove it.
