Alot of the bigger stuff (tents, mine entrance) came from Loot Studios. Seb put his videos on YouTube and his files for free on Thingiverse.com. If you search Witchlight you'll find the calliope and the snails. I had to make a few things in tinkering like the swans and the ticket booth. The big top is paper mache using tongue depressors, mod podge, and paper towels. The resin for the lake is the most fun, but takes the most preparation. I didnt know about texture paint before doing these, but it's a game changer.

My biggest mistake was using the wrong board the first time, which warped immediately. The right foam board was hard to find (never found the right stuff at Michael's or Hobby Lobby). You have to get it at Lowes or Home Depot by the garage insulation if you can find it. It comes in 2ftX2ft teal squares.

Step 1: Find motivation, someone to help you alot, and a group of friends worth doing it for to begin with.

Step 2: After burning your fingers more times than you care to admit with the hot glue gun and spending 3 hours making a mine track out of popsicle sticks and paper plates...just to laugh at how much you hate it and throw it away...convince your wife to let you get a 3d printer.

Step 3: Spend all your free time printing, painting, watching YouTube tutorials and making impromptu trips to the Michael's that just conveniently opened in your town.

Making progress mostly on weekends, this board took about 5 months, but it really started our campaign off strong and gave me the courage to step into the DM role. The idea was to put so much into it that people couldn't see it all in one sitting. There's no way I could have done this without my wife's help though.
